super unprofessional experience tonight 10/28 around ten o’clock. there was about three girls working and a theft protection girl. the fitting room said “closed for cleaning” so, after myself and about three others were waiting for 15 min. we finally asked if they could open them. during this time there was one girl at the cashier checking someone out, and the other three were all in a circle by the front talking. they said they could not open the fitting room tonight due to being short staffed. interesting because they were all sitting talking in a circle..? so, after asking them I asked the girl who was cashiering. she said she would let me go back there. so, I tried on my item and was good to go. waiting in line for check out the other three people asked if they could try on there items considering they don’t close for another hour and they said that it would not be possible. customers were really unhappy, it was a super uncomfortable situation. still waiting at check out and another girl comes up and asks if there’s any way she can try on there dress and she says “fine just go back there”. obviously we all saw this. one of the upset customers asked for a manager and Emily (who was managing at the time) said “I am.” It came across very rude. during this time she was counting her money drawer. kind of weird because it was only ten o’clock and three other customers needed to check out and be assisted. also, it was really dark in there. almost all the lights were off so it was just a really uncomfortable situation. after the customer asked for her name Emily proceeded to tell the theft protection girl “ guess what just had another two ask me in a row” . then as they walked away they were whispering about the customers to each other. it was really unprofessional and everyone was frustrated. these girls looked like they were 16 so, I guess they didn’t know better. after which I asked, okay so what manager can I speak to about this - I was told to contact Jenn. not sure who Jenn is. Hoping for a better...
Read moreWhile I make a habit of trying out as many Ross stores as I can because they are never all 100% the same, this is one of the more disappointing ones for sure.
Their shelves usually tend to look like the place has been raided, either with things lying about or shelves just looking very barren. And don't be surprised if you have to wait in a huge queue to pay for a single item because only 2 cashiers are working to help a line of easily 20+ people at a time. I've gone in there and found a badly broken item on the shelf and weeks later gone back there just to find the exact same item still on the shelf, and not even clearanced, so I'm not sure how well the employees keep maintenance of the stock there at all.
That said, as with all Ross stores, sometimes you will find something quite nice or even surprising enough that it can make the entire trip worth it, but don't be too surprised if you make a few trips there and they only...
Read moreThe cashier was terrible—she had a nasty attitude and was incredibly rude. She spoke to me in broken English and seemed unwilling to help. However, the moment I switched to Spanish, her demeanor completely changed.
I was trying to return a Free People “washed out” fabric top, and she claimed she couldn’t accept it because it didn’t have the “original tag” and looked old. But here’s the thing—there was never an original tag, only the Ross tag, which was still attached. That’s exactly how the shirt was sold. I explained that these tops are made to look distressed and worn-in, which is the style and expensive.
Despite that, she kept refusing the return—until I spoke to her in Spanish. Then suddenly, she was more cooperative. The whole experience was awful, and her attitude was completely uncalled for. There is no need to have to argue about a...
