Read moreOriginally my review was a 2.5. I just returned from doing grocery shopping at this Giant location and I am extremely annoyed at the way their register system runs. They only have checker lanes for those purchasing 12 items or less. If you are purchasing any more than that (something I'm sure most grocery shoppers do) you have to go through a self check lane and bag your own groceries. This seems extremely inefficient and, to make matters worse, every time I scanned a produce item an associate had to come and approve the purchase. That is absolutely ridiculous and a waste of time. In addition, the check lane shuts down if you scan too many items without bagging them first which makes grocery shopping on your own a big chore because the bagging area is about 8 feet from the checking area so you have to continuously walk back and forth. I'm extremely disappointed with this experience, especially because I liked the variety they carried in store. Unfortunately, I will not be back to this location again and will be on the hunt for a different grocer to frequent.
Edit to this review: Its been about 4 days since I last reviewed and a bunch of my produce is rotting! I had to throw out an entire spaghetti squash, half a bushel of asparagus, and several apples. I'd now change my review to a one star. Definitely WILL NOT...
Read moreExtremly rude staff. After taking forever at check out because of an issue with the checkout machine further delayed because the staff member working the self checkout area was not paying any attention and talking to a friend, Meredith chased me to the car with other staff, grabbed at my stuff, and said, "Next time why don't you try paying for that?" I was so caught off guard and am still SO shocked and frankly furious in hindsight. She could have asked politely asked and this would not have been so upsetting, but to accuse and esclate an already poorly handled situation, it isn't a safe policy for customers or staff. I showed the receipt, had to demand her to give it back, and she didn't apologize or anything after scrutinizing my stuff. I asked what in the world the problem was. I literally JUST spoke to the check out person, and they have cameras! If anything like this ever happens to me again, I will be calling the cops. It is absolutely insane and completely terrifying to have random people chasing you in the middle of the night across the parking lot. Also, the store was a mess organization wise. Tried to call repeatedly, but management is always "busy." "Owners" comment is a JOKE, called in as directed, was told I would receive a call back in 48 hours, and surprise, over a week later...
