I called weeks prior to inquire about how to place a large party order. Was told the best thing was to call a few days before and speak with someone rather than do it online.
So, I called back on Wed 11/14/2018 to place the advanced order for my son's birthday party. I spoke with a "John" and placed the order for 12 Large single-topping pizzas to be delivered to the party venue at 11:15am on Saturday 11/17/2018. 12 Large Pizzas (5 cheese, 3 pepperoni, 2 sausage, 2 mushroom) for $111.62. John took my work #, mobile #, and credit card info. I was told that my order is listed under my work # if I needed any changes made. I recited the entire order before I hung up just to make sure he got it. I checked my credit card online about 10 min later and the charge showed up as pending. All was well, so I thought.
Saturday 11/17, 11:15am rolls around, no pizzas. I called the store to check and the staff working that day indicated there was no record of an order under any of my numbers nor was there any order for 12-pizzas for that morning.
I pull up my credit card app and the pending charge was gone and not in the transaction history. The best explanation that the staff could be given was that for advanced orders, I should have called back the day before to confirm the order. I'm not sure how accurate that is, but it doesn't make sense to me to require a confirmation especially since I was not provide those instructions. Also, you have my credit card info to charge, why cancel it? Wouldn't it have been better customer service to proactively call the customer to confirm rather than just cancel/close the order? Someone should have called me before just canceling the order!
I was told a general manager would call me back about what happened. It's now 2 days later, no call.
I submitted a complaint to corporate but don't expect to hear anything back. Will not be doing business at this...
Read moreI ordered a pizza a couple weeks ago and the delivery driver showed up over an hour later with the wrong, cold pizza. I called to let them know and they said I would receive 50% off of my next order. Fast forward to tonight. I placed my order which was a specialty pizza for $14.00 and wings. The guy taking the order told me the total and it was higher than I calculated. He charged me $17 for the pizza which is the regular price for a large according to him. After I questioned the price he put me on hold. More than five minute later a different guy returned to the line and asked me what I wanted to order. I told him I had already placed the order and he said I would need to tell him again as the other guy left to deliver pizza. So I ordered again and explained the dilemma. The man on the phone became very upset with me and told me he "did not give a f*." Its not the three dollar difference that bothered me it's the lack of principles demonstrated. Annandale, Papa Johns made the mistake on my original order and said I would get 50% off of my next order. Not 50% off of the next order after they hiked it up to get the most money they could. As mentioned above, its not about the extra money charged. Its about good customer service which includes honesty and straightforwardness. That would have kept me coming back which means they would have made a lot more off of me in the long run. In my mind this business totally lacks professionalism and customer service. I've worked in the food industry and it can be horrible but come on. Cussing at...
Read moreI called at 4:28pm Saturday, September 28th to order pizza. I had to call back a few minutes later due to unforseen circumstance to cancel. The young lady answered the phone and I let her know I had to cancel me order and she got quiet and the real abruptly said "WHY" with an unpleasant tone. I was surprised by the question because that was no a question that should've be asked but I responded and said "well because I'm unable to pick up the pizza" and the rude young lady hung up the phone in my face. I called back to speak to the manager and a man answered the phone with a rude demeanor as well. I asked to speak to the manager and he told me that he was the manager and when I asked for his nMe, he said Daniel.
I tried explaining the situation to him but he abruptly stopped me and said "We already canceled the order" with a nasty tone. I asked him if he should be speaking to the customer in this manner being the manager but he was unbothered and responded rudely. I never finished my reasoning for calling, I just told him that I would be reporting to the owner.
These individuals are not well trained in customer service and they both acted as if they were ready for a street fight. This was appalling to say the least.
I will never order from here and the owner need to do something about the disrespect that's taking place...
