I highly recommend Gun Commander for all your training needs. Recently, I took the HQL-Wear/Carry course. The instructor and owner, Miguel Bosch, carefully and systematically created a way to train people using safe, state-of-the-art equipment, and he's always refining his method. I am an educator/arts person and not used to the "gun world" at all, so I appreciate the way he carefully thinks through the best way for people to learn all important aspects of using a firearm. And, he's really patient with people. Of course, as a current firearms instructor for the Capitol Police, and with years of experience under his belt in the military and as a federal air marshal, he can more than meet the training needs of anyone. The initial instruction is conducted in an extremely comfortable, clean, and updated professional office in Annapolis with plenty of table space, electrical outlets for your devices, comfortable office chairs, and spiffy bathrooms--well, it matters! As for me and my classmates, by the time we got to a private outdoor target range to qualify, the test itself was a piece of cake! He has a "surefire" method. I had a perfect experience with Mike in his wear and carry class last weekend! I can't imagine anyone that's more qualified to teach this course. He found a way to cover the required material and get us ample hands-on time. He curated more material than what the "book" requires of him because he is passionate about preparing people for this new lifestyle. Mike brought in plenty of his personal equipment for us to handle and start thinking about what and how we want to carry. Some of the fun, "extra" stuff we practiced was how to deal with various misfires/malfunctions and how to take down a firearm for maintenance. For a majority of the class, we used the SIRT training pistols. They are an awesome tool that allow you to conveniently practice the fundamentals of marksmanship. Whether you're a beginner or an expert, Mike moves at your pace. His patience as an instructor is unparalleled.
