This restaurant offers a delightful culinary experience that combines exquisite flavors with outstanding service—an ideal setting for celebrating special occasions. My recent visit for a birthday celebration was nothing short of spectacular.
Starting with the food, we were treated to a spicy tuna tartare that was a true standout. The dish was beautifully balanced, boasting a slight kick that danced playfully on the palate, complemented by a hint of sweetness that made each bite a joy. It was a refreshing start that set a high bar for the rest of our meal.
Next, the salty bread served with an excellent compound butter was a comforting addition to our dining experience. The butter, rich and flavorful, elevated the bread from a simple side to a must-have accompaniment that we found ourselves reaching for repeatedly.
The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the grilled ribeye. Cooked to perfection, it was juicy and tender, showcasing the kitchen’s skill. Paired with amazing rosemary potatoes and perfectly cooked asparagus, the dish was a symphony of flavors. The delightful chimichurri added a vibrant touch, tying all the elements together beautifully. Each component of the meal was thoughtfully crafted, making it clear that the chefs are passionate about their craft.
To complement our meal, the restaurant offered a wonderful cocktail selection. Each drink was thoughtfully designed, providing a delightful range of flavors that perfectly paired with our dishes. It was a treat to explore the creative concoctions on the menu.
However, what truly made our evening unforgettable was the exceptional service we received from Georgia, our server. From the moment we were seated, she was nothing short of amazing. Polite, friendly, and incredibly professional, Georgia’s menu recommendations were spot-on and enhanced our dining experience. Her attentiveness and genuine enthusiasm contributed significantly to the celebratory atmosphere, making us feel valued and cared for throughout the evening.
In conclusion, this restaurant not only delivers on food but excels in creating a warm and inviting environment through its stellar service. If you’re looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion or simply indulge in a fantastic meal, I highly recommend paying a visit. With dishes that tantalize the taste buds and service that makes you feel like royalty, it’s a dining experience that is sure to linger in your memory long after...
Read moreProviding feedback from our dinner last night from 6 of us that share The same thoughts. 3 days after opening and overall, we were super satisfied with the service and staff. Armosphere was great too. That said, there are some comments I think are worth mentioning having ordered nearly all the dishes off the mains, all sides, plus a few apps. As we were excited to visit a new restaurant, we wanted to give everything a try.
Starting with the food we did enjoy, The tuna and crab claw starters were great. Unfortunately, everything else lacked substance, flavor, or depth. To be honest, all the mains and sides were virtually interchangeable between each dish. We ordered the Carolina shrimp, ribeye, salmon, gnocchi mains, plus the carrots and mushroom sides.
The protein was cooked well, the ribeye melted in your mouth. However, not a seasoning or spice in sight. The salmon and shrimp were so bland and the steak needed more. The chimichurri that’s given with the steak was great, but not nearly enough to offset the lack of seasoning. We found ourselves using that to pair with the other proteins just to add some flavor. The carrots and mushroom sides were the same as what we found on each of the mains dishes. You could pass each plate around blindfolded and not tell a difference in any of them outside of the protein.
We also ordered the Ceasar salad from the starters. Unfortunately, it was so fishy that it was inedible. It didn’t taste like the salty, earthy flavor anchovies give. It tasted like it was soaked in leftover fish water. Completely overbearing the entire dish. Most of us appreciate the flavor anchovies lend to Ceasar salads, this was something else entirely.
I hope this feedback helps provide a different perspective from the patrons POV as they continue to enhance and improve upon itself. We are excited and open to come back again to see what...
Read moreWe just returned from a weekend in Maryland and made a dinner reservation at a new spot we’d been curious about: Seasalt Annapolis. From the moment we walked in, we loved the vibe. The space had a relaxed, modern feel that immediately felt welcoming.
Our server, Janel, was a total gem. I explained my dietary restrictions due to diverticulitis, and she didn’t skip a beat, offering thoughtful, helpful recommendations. We started with their house-made salty bread and butter, and let me tell you, we could’ve happily eaten just that. It was that good.
For dinner, we both ordered the scallops. My husband’s came just as listed, and mine included a slight modification thanks to Janel’s suggestion. Every bite was full of flavor. It was fresh, satisfying and exactly what we were craving.
For dessert, I had the house-made sorbet, which was so refreshing, and Raun had the strawberry shortcake that he hasn’t stopped raving about since.
The service truly made the night. Janel was attentive, kind, and clearly knew the menu well. One of the owners, Collin, stopped by our table and we had a great conversation with him about the restaurant and our meal. Later, we moved to the bar to soak in more of the atmosphere. Raun had the Maryland Manhattan that he really enjoyed. Our bar server, Bertie, kept the good energy going with great service and even better humor. Raun teased him all evening for resembling Jason Kelce, and Bertie took it like a champ.
We also had the chance to meet John, the other owner, who shared more about the vision behind Seasalt. You can feel the heart behind this place. It’s thoughtful, fresh, and offers something special that feels different from anywhere else in Annapolis.
This restaurant has officially become a new favorite. We’re already talking about when we...
