Jenson's/I. Appeal — Local services in Anoka

I was shopping in there today, I was just wearing shorts and a t-shirt. Two other ladies were also shopping, apparently one of them is a frequent customer. I assume this because of the familiarity the sales associate had with her and the amount of times she called her by name, Carol I believe, I walked thru the entire area and had a few items to try on, the entire time I was there I was never greeted, offered help or a dressing room, it was uncomfortable. I went into an empty dressing room that had some items hanging, I assumed they were unwanted items still left in there. While trying on clothes someone loudly mentioned that someone must be in the dressing room where they had put clothes to be tried. I was the only other person there so apparently it was me. I tried to quickly dress so I could vacate the dressing room when the associate loudly banged on the door and yelled in asking me to hand out the clothes. I let her know I was on my way out and opened the door to find her standing right there. She gave me a disingenuous smile and asked if anything worked. I said no and handed my items to her. As I was walking out another associate passed me and asked me if I found everything , she seemed nice and genuine but the other associate made me so uncomfortable I just wanted to leave. I went down to the next block and purchased several items at the Pineapple Girl from Sasha, who greeted and helped every customer there no matter how they were dressed. I used to love shopping at this store during my high school years! Very trendy with great sales. However, I’m usually pretty disappointed now when I go to shop there. They tend to only carry small sizes (00-10), and it feels a bit fatphobic and limiting to people with body sizes that I wouldn’t even consider plus size, but pretty standard, considering the average size of a woman in the US is a size 14. I wish they would carry clothes in sizes for bodies of all sizes, rather than catering their entire store to only small bodies, which already have access to clothes that fit them in almost any store. Disappointed, but hoping they will widen their size range so I can comfortably shop...

I enjoyed shopping here until I had to return some things that I never wore even once. As a newly pregnant person with my first child, I was trying to find something that I felt comfortable and pretty in and this outfit didn't work out for me. They wouldn't let me return an item because they claimed something I had returned earlier for the same reason was stained and they really made it seem like they thought I was a terrible person or trying to pull a fast one on them.
