Very disappointed. We drove two hours expecting fresh seafood off of the boats with sampler plates but arrived at a carnival with about 5 booths of very expensive seafood. The coconut shrimp looked good so I got some but it was mostly batter and very little shrimp with tails still on cooked into the thick rubber batter still on. The food sits under a light in the sun until it is sold. When we told the vendor they said to buy another and maybe it wouldnt have tails. $15 wasted. A church had oysters for 12 for $12 and if it had not been so hot and crowded and a place to sit we would have enjoyed those. We went for the seafood but it was very disappointing because the vendor we chose sold us grilled shrimp that tasted, and smelled spoiled. Lots of fair food that didnt feel local. Some gumbos.
