I have major kudos for Bobby, who works at the Pro Desk, and his management needs to know how wonderful he was to me.
As a first time home buyer, I had bought multiple sets of blinds from Home Depot for my home. A majority of them were in the store but some had to be delivered to the store for me to pick up. Most of them needed to be cut.
At this point two weeks ago, there were still two blinds that I hadn't received yet. I brought back two blinds to Home Depot I had just received, that needed to be re-cut to proper size. When the employee checked me out and gave me the re-cut blinds, he also marked off that I had received my final two blinds, when I had in fact not received them. I did not notice until a week later when I came in, to check on the status of my order, and he told me that my order showed that I had picked everything up.
He told me to go to the blinds dept. and explain my situation - I went to them, explained, and they assured me that everything would be fine and they would call me when my order came in. That didn't make sense to me but I wasn't sure what else to do.
Thus began my incessant calling and being assured by the employees in blinds that they were going to be coming in still, not to worry, they'd call me when they're ready. Finally, I spoke to a woman at the Pro Desk two days ago, and she confirmed what I had suspected - since someone had marked my two unreceived blinds as "received", my order was no longer open and I was not going to receive my last two blinds. She said she'd call me back - she never did.
So, feeling defeated and completely finished with Home Depot, I called again later that day to ask for a refund of my two blinds that I did not receive. Bobby picked up the phone, and I am SO glad he did. He listened to my concerns, confirmed my order showed I was not receiving them, then he did the most amazing thing - he not only found one of the blinds already in the store and had it cut for me, but then he drove to another store to get the second blinds, brought them back, had them cut properly, and allowed me to come pick them up the same day.
He restored my faith in Home Depot, since he went above and beyond for me. When no one else wanted to even consider helping me, he did everything he could to fix the solution. He should be recognized because helping someone when they need help should always...

I wanted to order 24 units of fibreglass online and it showed that the Apex store #3644 had inventory. Arrived at the store and I went to the building materials department and a gentleman by the name of Mr. Bobby greeted me. He verified the inventory right away and confirmed that they did not have the amount of inventory as quoted online but he was going to check. Very diligently he checked visually and then on the computer and again visually and confirmed that they did not have the inventory, but would ensure that stock was transferred from the Cary store Along with Mr. Alex in the Pro section the order was processed pronto and confirmed that the delivery would be done for today as that was the most important criterion The reason being I had the installers on site. Upon returning home I received the confirmation that delivery would be done the same day. I received the second and third confirmation that this order would ship the same day. That is awesome. Suddenly at 1 PM it said the order was cancelled and the delivery was scheduled for November 30 (2 days later ) I promptly called the Store and Mr. Bobby very gracefully moved mountains and once again showcase his class and professionalism and ultimate customer satisfaction by securing a same day delivery. Well done Me Bobby and your efforts are well received and appreciated. At 3 PM the order was delivered to my house. The driver, Mr. David was very courteous, and he was aware of Mr. Bobby and the Apex store top reputation and that Mr Bobby and his team diligently deliver on promises and they are well recognized as a top, rank professional team and I agree 100%. This gentleman is an asset to the organization and definitely his management skills and style of operation only brings more business in a very challenged environment where online shopping is putting a wrench in the wheel. I even mentioned this to Mr. Rahul the Store director, and he confirmed that Mr. Bobby is a top notch employee. Thank you to everyone at Home Depot Apex #3644 for getting my order delivered the same day and especially to Mr. Bobby and Mr. Alex and Mr. David and the entire team and staff that I dealt with today. Read moreI left my review from 2016 below. So a month or so ago I made one of my multiple trips to this location. I live less than a mile away and as a trade professional I'm in there a lot for work. I'm also in there a lot for personal things. More than half the staff know me well. So I was seeking an item that an employee said was in an isle that was closed off while they put up a pallet on the isle next to it. I get it, safety. When the isle opened It turned out it was not the correct location. So i asked a merchandiser where the item I needed was. He didn't know and thats when the employee I had asked and had the isle closed came up to where I was asking. The merchandiser asked this same employee and he insisted it was where he told me. I said it was not and he proceeded to point his orange flag at me and yell,,and I mean YELL, that I asked him for something different. Of course I asked " who the hell you think you're yelling at?" He said" oh not today and blew up. I jumped right back and we exchanged a few FUs and some more choice words. By then a few contractor sales people came running over, told this employee to take a break and told me " he's having a bad day" I didnt want the guy fired , because maybe he was having a really bad day. But when I returned a few days later I didn't get one word about it. Not sorry that happened , he isn't that kind of guy ,,,blah blah. So I stopped going there. Ran into an employee of the store and he asked where I have been. I told him and he said " In all the years you have been coming in you have never been disrespectful to anyone" He was upset at what happened to me and asked me to see the manager. I'm not. I'll take my 100K worth of business elsewhere
alway helpful. They tend to the pros a bit more the Lowes. Which makes sense since a GC like me spends tens of thousands there every year. Not just a one time deal , filled with complaints and threats of shopping at the competition. I would hate to have to deal with the...
