Iâve been searching for a particular bread brand ever since moving to NC a few years ago. Beefsteak Rye. It is glorious but I digress.
2.5 years ago the Target near Southpoint has it listed as in stock, so I rushed over only to speak with several employees and be told they do not actually carry it. A manager promised to call me with a follow-up, but never did.
Today I tried again at Holly Springs when the website listed it, as did several others including Apex. Same problem once I got to Holly Springs, they didnât âactuallyâ carry a product their website says they do carry and lists as in stock.
An employee told me her system said the Apex location had listed stock of over 50+ though. She had no idea why the website said they had it as they never did. When I mentioned my past issue she said I could triple check by calling Apexâs branch if I really felt the need to. Nice follow-up by the way on her behalf not calling personally. She could have shown some customer TLC while catching a problem for the company. Still, I did feel the need to be sure and called. Guess what? Same story. Didnât have it. Never did.
Now I know itâs just a loaf of bread but their system is clearly messed up. Listed merchandise no one has ever heard of and staff with no idea whatâs going on with said system, and no desire to figure it out. Managers who donât follow-up doesnât help either. If you see a major retailer listing an item on their website as in stock, you expect that your time going out there to buy it wonât be wasted.
Iâm now avoiding their stores completely as their brand lines have gone up in cost while going down in quality and frankly, I donât trust them. Their employees have shown minimal interest in actually addressing the problem with their website and Iâve already wasted enough time...
Read moreI like coming here but Iâve noticed a huge influx of people bringing pets or emotional support animals, many of which have those fake & illegal âcertificationsâ which are purchased online.
ESAs do NOT have public access rights into stores like Target and bringing untrained pets into public not only endangers actual service dogs (task trained working dogs who assist their handlers with their disabilities) but also normalizes ESAs in public spaces where they are not allowed, and normalizes the requirement of a ID or certification. Per ADA law there is NO NATIONAL REGISTRY OR CERTIFICATE FOR SERVICE DOGS
Based on my discussions with target workers, they are not usually educated on what to do or what to look for, which is unfortunate but not something I take issue with at the end of the day. My issue is with the higher ups in the company who are more inclined to train their workers to not speak up to people breaking the law in their own store rather than doing something about it and explicitly preventing ESAs in their stores.
Thankfully, when I do enter this store with my task-trained service dog, I am typically left alone by both customers and employees which is a relief but I am very uncomfortable for the day that an untrained pet is allowed to roam in the store and may cause my service dog to become distracted and cut my Target runs much much shorter.
In the mean time, if anyone sees any pets with a cheap $20 Amazon vest on them that says âemotional support animalâ or âtherapy dogâ entering Target, please do me (and every other legitimate service k9 handler) a favor and tell them what theyâre doing is illegal and please educate yourself on how...
Read moreI placed a grocery order for pickup on Saturday, April 13 at 10:32 pm from the app for 13 items. When I go inside to the service desk at around 12:04 pm Sunday, April 14, I show the associate my order and she brings out my bags. Since I didn't receive any notifications about any substitutions being made, I trusted that all my items were in the 4 bags she gave me and didn't bother to check to make sure everything that I PAID for was put in the bags.
Even once I arrived home, I thought I had everything. I was repulsed that a bag of organic scallions had wet, dark pieces that were kept in my order. If the quality of an item is not satisfactory, why fulfill it? Why not mark as unavailable? I returned it a few hours later.
Once I realize at 7:45 pm that I'm missing 5 items, I call the store and press customer service. I called 7 times! The phone rang up to 11 times with some of the calls being promptly answered and hung up to disconnect. Surely there is someone that can pick up the phone.
As someone who is in retail themselves, I know what even decent customer service looks like. The customer service here is appalling! I'm going to call a few more times and then will have to, at a huge inconvenience for myself, drive to the store a SECOND time to speak face to face with someone since I can't get anyone on the phone.
Please do NOT place any order online for pickup and leave without checking every single bag! And if there is an issue, talk to someone BEFORE you...
