(short version at bottom)
We walked in at 7:30 pm on a Saturday, expecting to have to wait a while, but genuinely thought it was closed because of how music-less, quiet, dark and empty it was. After a few moments of debating if we should leave, a server got up from a table and (with a very bored attitude, which was fairly understandable) escorted us to a table, that had sticky menus. Every time he came to take our drink/food orders, he stood uncomfortably far from the table, to a point that my partner and I had to turn around to speak to him (and we were in a booth, so that could have been easily avoidable). We were the only people in the restaurant, and they still got my sister's order wrong and we had to ask multiple times to have it corrected. My food was brought awkwardly late after everyone else's and we weren't given utensils until my partner hunted down a different server to ask for it. The food was just alright, partners chicken was a bit dry, nothing too crazy. The server gave us our check and asked who was paying while there was a still a lot of food on the table and we felt rushed to leave (despite his telling us otherwise). I forgive a lot of things at restaurants, because I've worked many a kitchen job and I know how draining it can be to work in that environment, but this particular IHOP couldn't even muster a good experience for a single group sitting in an otherwise empty building. It was a very underwhelming experience overall, and we regretted not going to the Texas Roadhouse across the parking lot instead.
Short version: Lackluster service, very average food, and uncomfortable atmosphere even though we were the only...
Read moreI just ordered a Crepe Combo ($17,62) over the phone for pick up, which sounded delicious off the menu. It took me about 5 minutes to get to the restaurant. I paid for the food, picked up the bag, and went home. Unfortunately, once back home, the food was totally disappointing and uninspiring! I suspect the young greeter forgot to place the order on time or placed it only after I got there, because everything seemed to be made in a rush for it was either barely warm or barely microwaved! The home fries didn't taste like anything, the crepes, though microwaved, were lukewarm, the toasts were charred, hard, and barely warm! But the worst part of it all were the "poached' eggs because they were a raw, watery concoction! I hope we don't get salmonella! To make a long story short, we ate that chow because we were hungry, but I was very angry because this so-called "breakfast" was a total rip off! Now, I noticed that IHOP is not what it used to be 35 years ago, but their meals are now a total scam! Corporate probably went the McDonald's way 🫰, that is, living off the rent paid by their franchisees rather than serving good, safe food, as they're supposed to do! And that's it for me! No more IHOP anything and I really hope customers stop being so blatantly robbed of their money! I wouldn't give IHOP any stars at all today, but customers aren't given a...
Read moreI can't ever recall a bad experience at the IHops that I've been to, especially this one. The food is always great and at very good prices. The staff is always friendly and the food comes out at a reasonable time. The place always looks clean and their food sanity rating is a 99 (last time I was there) which I always like to see.
I do have to say in more detail that the food is very good. You can order your breakfast plate however you want but they do have a menu with options to choose from. Good thing to note is that they do have a special where you can choose two eggs, sausage or bacon with hash browns and a side of two pancakes if your choosing from the list. It's kinda like the Wendy's 5 for $5 or the Tray at Cookout. It's about $9 to $10 which is not bad at all and the food tastes really good. IHop does have other food other than breakfast plates such as burgers but their specialty is definitely their breakfast and especially their pancakes. They got many different flavors and even healthier choices of pancakes if people are trying to watch their calories. My favorite will have to be the tres leches pancakes, they are so rich in flavor and with a glass of milk, they go even better.
Overall, it's a great place to have breakfast or if you wanna have breakfast later in the day then IHop will probably...
