Very poor customer experience, that didn't get off to a bad start. After researching devices and pricing online, I went into this location in hopes of getting my new device the same day.
I explained exactly what I was looking for and would have been a very easy sale for the nice young lady who was assisting me, but things went completely off track when I declined the Next Up Anytime service she said they "normally add in-store". I had to really work it out of her that I would have the option to purchase the device without adding that service to my bill, even though she said I could cancel it 14 days later, and she agreed to checking what colors of the S25 they had in stock. One of her coworkers immediately followed her into the back room, and she returned shortly to say they didn't have any of the colors in stock. There was no mention of how long it would take to get one of the devices I would be interested in, or even that another upgrade model was available... even after stating that I would be willing to simply conduct my business online.
Although salespeople are trained to get add-ons, all I had decided to purchase was the phone and a case... but they made it very clear that their attachment rate was more important than taking care of the customer who was ready and willing to complete a sale. Read moreI went to best buy to buy an unlocked phone but instead decided to go with AT&T. I let the guy know it's very important to keep my number. After I left I realized they gave me a new number. At this point I'm furious, I could not sign into my iCloud account which really frustrated me to the point where I was just about to cancel my phone service. I went to AT&T store on calumet and was so upset. Erika Scheibe greeted me when I walked in. I never met any one in my life that was as calm and patient as she was with me and my 5 yr old son. I explained what happened and told her I need my phone number ported ASAP. She reassured me that every thing will be OK. She got me to calm down. Long story short, she got my number ported over, showed me how to use my new phone and got me all signed into my iCloud account. I also decided to get cable & Internet as well. Because of Erika, I kept my wireless service and added cable and internet. I will never go any where else for any thing. Erika will be the person I go to when I decide to add more lines or services..I referred her to my business partner for business internet. Unfortunately, we don’t spend near as much time complimenting those who do perform an exemplary job for the customer. I would like to compliment Norm’s service to me specifically and my AT&T account. I’m sure the other AT&T store associates are very capable but I always look for Norm when I need help because he has been assisting me with his expertise and recommendations to make the most of my AT&T mobile and internet accounts. I have dealt with Norm for more than 10 years and he has always exceeded my expectations on my visits to the AT&T Store he works at. Norm has gained my implicit trust to help me maximizes my features and capabilities with my 18+ year old account with AT&T mobile.
