This evening I went to my local Target for the car seat trade in event. The code for the 20% off (for bringing in an old one) was not working. The manager Anna was already on her way up to the service desk as a guest before me had an issue with not receiving a gift card for items purchased. I waited while she helped the first customer with patience and kindness; despite it being the customers mistake for not reading the fine print-she honored the gift card anyways.
Then it was my turn. While we were talking another employee informed us the code has not worked all day and gave me a number to call. I voiced my frustration as I needed the new car seat I was going to purchase now (I just gave them the old one for trade!). Anna didn’t miss a beat and said “oh no problem. You go get the one you want and I’ll wait up here at the desk and honor the 20% off.” Turns out the one I wanted was not on the shelf so I walk back up to the front to let her know. She apologized again and called someone to bring one from the back. While waiting, another person came up to the register frustrated with the same issue as the first customer I saw. And once again Anna assured them it would be OK and she would help.
This review is long, like the night Anna seemed to be having at work, but she handled everything so kindly and professionally it would be a disservice to not recognize her for it. Beyond impressed with her...
Read moreI recently placed a pickup order for four items. When I received an email that my order was ready, they only ended up having two of the four so I chose to have the other ones delivered. However I noticed that the amount on my pickup order email was more than my original order amount. When comparing the two, I saw that the order totals were the same, but the tax was doubled on the second email. I called the store I ordered from and they said they couldn't do anything about it (which I'm not faulting them for) and gave me an 800 number. I called and explained it and was put on hold, then hung up on. I called back and spoke to someone else. They told me I would have to wait until I received the order in the mail and it would "possibly correct itself". I said there was no way I was just going to wait until I got the items to see if it would correct itself and that they should be looking into the issue. The reason I am posting this is to bring awareness to it. My original total was $57 something and the new total was over $60, so it was an easy catch. I am not sure I would have caught it so easily if both amts were in the 50's... then if it wouldn't have been corrected, I would have paid that amount. Do...
Read moreWOW… unbelievable experience just happened. My boyfriend and I were in the Appleton East target to grab a few things. On our way out at self checkout we were waiting in line about to go use the checkout when a larger man, an employee named Chris, came up to us. My boyfriend smiled and said “Hello” and Chris responded with “wow, I never thought I’d see one of your kind in here.” My boyfriend happens to be African American. It took us a few seconds to realize what had been said, but before we could say anything he was already gone. My boyfriend isn’t the kind of person that wants to cause conflict and was shocked at this behavior because we always have gone to this target, so this was completely unexpected. From Chris’s actions this makes both of us look at target differently and we know that nothing will be done about this and...
