Okay, I am going to try my hardest to give a fair and objective rating here. My PERSONAL experience was a 1, but for the right person, I could see a 5. For me, I have spent 3 days driving back and fourth from this place trying to get flesh and blood cards. I am a complete beginner at this, honestly the only reason I am playing this is because my manager got me interested in it. Finally today we were able to get through and they were open, only to get singled out for a mask policy, which is their right to have so I won’t complain about that. Nonetheless, aside from the mask thing, both my fiancé and I felt like total outsiders in there. The staff were abrupt but did answer my questions, and they did give me a 2 percent discount for paying cash so there was that as well. Overall, if you are already a hobbyist, you will probably enjoy this place, but if you are a beginner like me, go at your own discretion. Maybe my experience was an isolated thing idk. I am trying to be fair with this so I will...
Read moreAbsolutely fantastic experience, me and my girlfriend are just now getting into painting mini-figs and figurines and we're looking around at places that sold primer. We had gotten some paint from another store and man do I wish we had gone here first. The man we worked with asked what we were looking for, said he didn't have any but had a suggestion for a better primer than what we were looking for that was cheaper, and launched into the most informative intro to a hobby I've ever received. We walked in looking for primer, walked out with two sets of a great paint for $15 each with a wide range of colors (compared to the almost $6 per color we paid for at the other store not knowing the difference) and a confidence that no amount of forum crawling could give me. Beyond polite and informative, place was clean and everyone was wearing masks, 5/5 will absolutely be driving the 20 minutes from our apartment to come here specifically for any of our future needs...
Read moreGaming Underground is a small hobby shop with a staff that genuinely looks to propagate the community and enthusiasm of collectable card games, tabletop wargames, traditional RPG's ,and board games. It's current location at time of writing is a slick updated space located near J. Butlers a short distance away from its previous residency. The store carries a respectable variety of products of core lines from companies such as Wizards of The Coast, and Games Workshop. As well, they stock odds and ends such as early edition D&D manuals, OOP RPG's, and other miniatures ranging at times from Malifaux to Privateer Press. The new location provides access to good quality food and drink, and is comfortable to spend extended hours in. If you're in the area and considering checking out the gaming scene, this is far from a bad option. If you're a parent who is considering traditional gaming mediums with their child I would highly recommend this...
