Pizza Vino — Restaurant in High Point

Waitress never greeted me, just kept me waiting at counter while she handled the drive thru & talking a lot. He never acknowledged me either while I waited to get my order taken. I was hoping he did but he didn’t say a word to me. I should have walked out because of that but I tried to remain patient. I was on my hour lunch... Waitress was taking money, took some tea refill to one customer, between kept going in lobby talking & sitting with her girlfriend, never washing her hands. It took 18 to 20 minutes to place order so I decided to dine in. I asked for my tea to go sit down & wait, she said “I can bring it to you”. Eventually she brought the buffalo wings to table with no napkins. I asked twice because she never brought them the 1st time. I also asked about the heat in her opinion of the chicken wings, she had no other details just we have mild, hot & hotter. After about 30 minutes with order & wait, finally I get these mushy wings with red spots inside all the wings & taste in done because they didn’t look crispy & where not real hot. I called her over from the table across from me where Shevardnadze was sitting with the lady & owner man. Waitress tell me they bake them twice & put lots of seasonings & paprika. That’s why it is red inside. However I tasted no flavor & that mushy chicken texture I had to pick off, leaving most of the chicken on my plate. Not usual for me because I love wings. Before paying another customer walks in to counter, the same thing happens. Waitress walked off went over to table where her lady buddy was started talking & laughing with. I had to tell her can you go head and ring me up. I asked for a tea to go and had almost half in my dine in cup. The waitress gave me tea half filled. I guess she wanted me to pour remaining tea from my dine in cup. Bad service & had no consideration of my time & didn’t seem familiar with her job when I asked questions about some of the food. I highly do not recommend this...

Tonight (9/24/24) was our first and last time ever visiting Pizza Vino. Our daughter’s school had a fundraiser going on so we decided to give them a try. On arrival the waitress was friendly and took our order like any ordinary restaurant would. I recieved my side salad about 10 minutes later and we waited for our 2 pizzas. 50 minutes later still no pizzas. Another waitress came up and asked if we got our check yet. I said no we haven’t even been served dinner. She apologized, verified what we ordered and went back to the kitchen. About 15 minutes later the pizza came out. It was nothing special and the meat lovers honestly grossed me out. She told me we would get a discount because of the wait. I boxed everything up and went to the counter to pay. I told the waitress we were supposed to get a discount for the wait. She updated the receipt and took off $1. I will never visit this establishment again. It was a night wasted sitting waiting to eat for over an hour and the food was a disappointment too. I over heard another table had a complaint and she told them they would get 20% off their ticket. That sounds better than my $1.

After the business replied I’ll edit to add Customers who arrived long after us were eating while we sat unacknowledged. Busy or not it was unprofessional. There were 7-8 full tables. We got 13.99 XL 1 topping special 23.99 meat lovers 3.29 side salad Total is 41.27 before tax. I paid $42 or $43 with tax. Not sure where the discount is? The special xl is a continuous special. There was absolutely no discount for the trouble they caused but thanks for the reply!

I went here for lunch with my brother about 2 weeks ago. We both work close by. He arrived about 15 min before i did and ordered for both of us. When I arrived we were the only ones there. We sat for about 25 more minutes and never received another visit from the waitress. eventually she brought the food. We asked for drink refills but she never came back to the table. She never even came back to drop off the check. We had to go up to the register and then wait for her to finish her phone conversation before she would ring up our checks. My brother and I used to come by for lunch every Thursday, but no longer. We will not be returning. Which sucks, because the food has always been very good, but the service and the wait time have been terrible the last 2 times that we went. Good bye Vino's gonna miss your Italian sub.

Update 2/17/20

I gave in and finally went back(by myself, my brother still refuses to come back). And i didn't regret it. This time a young women named Jenna was my server. She did a Fantastic job. The food that I got was Delicious, though I admit I have never had a problem with the food, it has always been good every time. Tried the wings for the first time as well. They were great, didn't realize what i had been missing out on. Was glad to finally have your Italian supreme sandwich again. And I am glad that the service has improved since my last visit, please keep it up. Changing my review...
