The Yard 901 — Local services in Arlington

I have been working out here for years. My entire family works out here as well including my teenagers. Just a sweet story of these gym owners and their hearts. In 2020 I lost my husband suddenly. The week after that I received a call from Ricky (owner) gifting my family a lifetime membership at The Yard. He said the last thing he wanted us to worry about was a membership and he wanted us to have a place to go together as a family. Time and time again I’m reminded of this place that has given my children and I somewhere to go during grief and life challenges to blow off steam. The gym itself is mediocre. We chose this gym solely for child care purposes. We were charged one price and then a few months later they raised the price. My wife and I already pay for a membership each. The child care is beyond political. If you are friends with the owner then your child will be able to get away with whatever they want, and lie about other children. The owner is also a liar that will bend over for his friends that have kids and lie on their behalf. Any issues your child may cause the ladies would rather interrupt your workout and have you deal with it. Makes you wonder what you are paying them for. The fact that they do not have cameras in the daycare area bewilders me. I guess it is so they can get away with such lies. I do not recommend to any one...

Can't say enough great thing about The Yard 901. The ownership team is awesome. The staff are on top of things and ready to help with anything you may need. They know me by name and greet me when I walk in the door! TONS of options for classes. The clientele is great and are always willing to offer support/help to fellow gym goers who ask for help or tips/pointers. Bands, kettle bells, barbells, dumbbells, medicine balls, racks, machines, free weights, cardio, boot camps, classes, personal training...you name it, you can find it at The Yard. You won't find a cleaner facility in the area and there are spray bottles and paper towels everywhere to wipe down equipment after each use.
