Crave Sweets Bake Shop — Restaurant in Arlington

My family and I just came back from this place and devoured everything we got! It was waaayyy cheaper than I was expecting, especially for not frozen, handmade, local sweets. Seriously, very well priced for what you’re getting! I got quite a few items and paid less than $15! I’ve been to other cupcake places that are over $5 a piece and not nearly as good as these are. The butter cookies are SO soft, basically a cake cookie hybrid and very good. I had chocolate and red velvet. The cannolis are good from what my husband said (I’ve never been a fan of any cannolis so I’m taking his word for it). They have two different sizes of truffles which my daughter thoroughly enjoyed. She had the raspberry and sea salt caramel. Finally, the cupcakes are so good, our favorite of everything we tried! Not overly sweet like a lot you find in bakeries now, and a perfect amount of frosting (for a normal person, my husband could always use more lol). Great service too, it’s right next to the cafe, and we went there first on accident. The woman there said we could eat our sweets there if we wanted since the place with just sweets only has one table....

We ordered two birthday cakes from here. The cakes looked beautiful from outside just like we ordered. The fondant and cake decor was perfect. However, the cakes were in itself very dry and crumbly as if something needs to be tweaked in the recipe. Interestingly, it was common in both cakes which means it wasn't a mistake but just how they make it? I have had better tasting cakes before so this was definitely a disappointment. Not an expert... but store bought cakes a creamier and more moist.

Edit: I want to give a shout out to crave sweets. They really made a change to the cakes. We have since ordered 4 cakes from them and each of them have been delicious and beautiful- and delivered on time. I shared some leftovers at work and everyone has been asking for more!!! Might I say, I am extremely impressed. Thank you for addressing the customer needs. Not many businesses take a critical...

I purchased a cake from here and I will allow the photos to tell the story. My daughter was devastated. She made sure the cake did not move and look at the results. When I ordered it they were kind when I contacted them with the following pictures no response. I will never go back. That second pic was supposed to be on the cake but since it didn’t transport well at all she never saw it … she cried and they didn’t care about service...
