Dog lovers add this to the list of places that are unnecessarily dog-hostile. I understand the law says dogs can't go into certain places, but a package shipping store? It's your choice to make that policy, and it's my choice to use a different means of shipping packages.
I took a tiny puppy in with me for 2 minutes. I was told by the employee that dogs weren't allowed unless they're service dogs. Guess what, as a dog trainer, and a service dog trainer, 90% of the "service dogs' that come into your store are fake, untrained, possibly dangerous animals. You'd be smarter to allow all friendly, well-behaved dogs and remove all dogs that don't meet that criteria, including fake service dogs. If a "service dog" isn't well behaved (the fake ones never are) you can legally remove them. A no dogs policy in a package shipping business is dumb in the year 2023 when more people have dogs than ever, and people are doing business with dog friendly businesses as much as possible. For businesses that embrace allowing people to bring in their well-behaved dogs, it's a huge...
Read moreThis UPS Store is okay except for a few issues I encountered. Issue #1) the scale is located in a narrow space between higher counter tops. It is difficult to maneuver a larger or heavier package without a bit of a struggle. A more open space for the scale would be advantageous for all. Issue #2) when dropping off a pre-labeled package the clerk should wait until the package is on the scale and balanced before scanning the label. I noticed the last time I dropped off a long package the clerk scanned the label while I was sliding it onto the scale and my hand was still on it making sure it was balanced. The weight recorded was about 3 pounds heavier than it really was. A few seconds of patience would ensure accurate weight readings. Issue #3) the parking for this location is pretty iffy. They have two parking spaces in front for â10 minute onlyâ parking but finding one of those available is rare. Not sure what they can do but itâs a pain to haul a large package from the main parking area across the busy entry/exit path to the...

Update: On 12/3/24 at 8am I paid $65.44 to overnight an important package to my husband who is leaving on a ship on 12/5/24. I wake up this morning on 12/4/24 to a message that the package I overnighted made it to Louisville, KY but is delayed due to âweatherâ. I looked at a weather map today and outside of weather in British Columbia there is no bad weather between KY and Washington. This makes me think the weather message isnât true and allows UPS to conveniently code my package under something that they can then claim is âout of their controlâ and not give me my money back. I now have to figure out how to get the package I sent to my husband back to me which is another cost. I will never use UPS again besides dropping off my Amazon returns. The staff at this store is still friendly and knowledgeable but due to the absolute failure to deliver my package and blame it on âweatherâ when there appears to be no bad weather, I am updating my...
