Kill Screen Games — Local services in Asbury Park

I’m surprised at myself for not having written a review of this place sooner, as I’ve been a customer and a fan for years. We are talking really great guys here. Always friendly. They know their games, their selection is very good, and their pricing beats out the online sites that I used to use before they opened like 99% of the time. I’m always double checking online for prices and it’s been very rare to see Killscreen beat on a price. It’s just a really great vibe when you walk into their shop. They’ve got games for every console from The old Nintendo and Sega systems, ps2 and Xbox, all the way up to used modern systems and games for PS4 and Xbox one. And just because they are local, don’t think that means they won’t get some absolutely AMAZING finds if you’re a serious collector. This is way out of my price range, but I’ve even seen copies of Hagane in there, one of the rarest SNES carts ever made! That made me geek out. And they always seem to be getting good old games complete with boxes and manuals. It’s a real treat to go in and buy a cartridge you’ve been looking for or even just to go look at all the cool stuff...

i love this place so ef much. everyone who works here is knowledgeable friendly and just good people. it is the only reason besides the ocean i havent moved away from asbury park. if you have not had a convo with phil, james or jenny or looked at the museum of sorts that is in there then you are missing out on one of the best gems in and around monmouth county (altho mostly everything else about this area is undesirable). Priced competitively to the Internet and certainly cheaper and more enjoyable than game stop. I've watched them take in whole collections and pay fairly for each item, and clean and test said same items before selling. fantastic for rare/promotional items, collectors and nostalgia fans and those who just love to be surrounded by every video game you could ever imagine. im sorry that this sounds like a love letter, but there is really no better shop in town and it's ran by solid people.
