Went this morning to get a key copy. The Hispanic guy helped me out quickly. After going home to double check the copied key, for some odd reason they both didn’t work. Went back and some older guy with a long beard at the front tried to help and explained to him the issue. He told me he was going to double check the keys. Then proceeds to tell me the machine does not seem to be wrong on the cut. Asked him to help me better understand as to why the copy key wouldn’t work. He was being a bit passive aggressive and sounded annoyed at the questions I asked him. Did nothing to help resolve the situation nor an apology for a misunderstanding. Just like the old-fashioned hardware stores, they have (seemingly) everything and are unfailingly helpful and polite. I wish there were more like it, I can understand why "people" are starting to gravitate towards using local stores rather than the "big box"; frankly I do not patronize Lowes and Home Depot as I used to, for a start it saves gas and frustration in the summer battling all roads to those stores. I work at a local auto repair shop and come here often for miscellaneous parts that I can't get from our auto part suppliers. They have ALWAYS had just what I need to get the job done right.
