I really wanted to love this place, I like everything about it: it's local, the guy running it is great, etc. But after he replaced my battery (nothing wrong with the phone, just an old battery) the phone went completely dead 4 hours later and refused to take a charge. I took it in, I noticed that when he opened it the second time my phone was missing all the internal materials that keep cables in place, and no screws in the phone - he was able to just pop things open. I'd previously only had one service at the Apple store and I doubt they'd left it that way. I should have mentioned my concerns at that time but I trusted him.
He tweaked something inside, but 24 hours later the phone was dead again. I was out of town and desperate to get my phone functioning. I noticed the top of the phone's screen seemed a little squishy, like it was already popped up a bit, so I opened it myself (terrible idea but again I was desperate - walk a mile in my shoes). I reconnected a cable inside and got the battery working but then my screen was funky. I took it in and he said it was hopeless, that I'd damaged my screen and it'd be $XX to replace it. I almost cried. But then I went home and superglued the screen and it's worked fine ever since (I still can't believe that worked!) So two failed battery repairs, removed my phone's internal pieces/screws, left my screen not entirely installed and was incorrect about whether my screen was recoverable.
Like I said, I wanted to love this place and I'm glad people have had good luck but I felt I should share...
Read moreI just learned about Cheever Industries last Friday when my s7 Samsung's camera lens broke and I needed it for over the holiday July 4th weekend. Without the lens the pictures were cloudy and awful. My local Verizon dealer does not repair these things. There were other options of sending my phone out but did not want to do that as it would be weeks. I decided to call Cheever to see if they could help me and I was told they had the glass I needed and could repair it that day. They even quoted me a price over the phone and reasonable. It was after 5:00 pm when I arrived and they are only open until 6:00 pm. It only took about 15 minutes to repair and the repair person was so nice and so helpful! He told me to check out the camera pictures and take a few to be sure I was happy and I certainly was. I asked about another issue that happened to a friends phone and he said they could fix it and quoted me prices for different sinarios of repairs. He was so willing to explain and let me watch him do the repairs. I recommend going there to everyone with computer issues or phone issues! THANK YOU SIR! My friend is going to check them out too and liked hearing about my experience with Cheever. I will be sending more business...

Just got my Lenovo M920q from Cheever Industries and honestly, I'm very impressed. Ordered it for a pfSense upgrade and threw in a QNAP 4-port 2.5GbE card and a PCIe riser - everything just worked right out of the box.
What really stood out was how well they packaged this thing. I've bought plenty of refurb gear online and usually it shows up in a beat-up box with minimal padding. Not here - this was packed like they actually cared about it arriving in one piece. Shipping was fast too.
The machine itself fired right up, no issues at all. For the price point, you really can't beat what you're getting here.
I'll definitely be coming back when I need more hardware. If you're on the fence about ordering from them, don't be - these folks know what they're doing.
Solid...
