The Corner Cabinet — Local services in Framingham

I had an extraordinary customer service experience today at the Corner Cabinet. A hinge from an older bathroom cabinet had rusted and I was looking to replace it. I couldn't find a replacement at Home Depot, Loews or local hardware stores. I asked Siri for a nearby cabinet store and it pointed me to the Corner Cabinet. I called first and was politely told they don't deal in replacement hinges, but if I came by they could help me order what I needed online. I drove over and the gentleman at the desk, who was busy with orders and paperwork, dropped what he was doing, and went to great effort to try to fix my rusted hinge with WD-40 and muscle power. He got it moving a bit, but not enough to make it work so he went online to try to help me find a replacement. The hinge was too old and a match couldn't be found, but he provided me a website lead to look at in more detail later. Once I got home, I found that his work on the old hinge had actually mobilized it quite a bit, and after applying a bit more liquid wrench, cleaning off the rust and using a vice to straighten the tabs I was able to reinstall the hinge into the cabinet and it now works perfectly. The point of this is that the gentleman at Corner Cabinet went to great lengths to help me even though I was not a customer and there was no sale to be made. I first went and met with Dave at Corner Cabinet in the early fall of 2020, when we were about to close our lake house in NH. I had a few materials picked out for the main level and ideas on what I wanted. Dave was great in recognizing it was a second home and was good at steering me away from choices that would drive the costs way up. He made my vision for the kitchen come to life in his drawings and selections. We ended up tabling the kitchen renovation until we did a larger renovation over the fall / winter of 22/23. When I went back, Dave was ready to pick up where we left off. His attention to detail in thinking through each cabinet, its size, its size in relation to other cabinets, understanding all the appliance specs, and his knowledge of the product so that he could explain options to me was incredible. He was open to my bouncing other items in the kitchen off him like my pendent selection/placement over the island in relation to sink. He is super even keeled to work with and genuinely is invested in your project and making the kitchen the best kitchen for you. Also, they managed getting cabinets to a third party they use for storage and then delivery to NH when we were ready for them. I want to give my personal thank you to Stephanie for transforming our outdated kitchen from the 90s into a beautiful and modern one that looks straight out of a home decor magazine. She’s incredibly competent and a pleasure to work with. Her design of cabinets and countertops created a unique look that everybody loves.

Similar to the delay you see in many businesses impacted by COVID, it took a while for the manufacturer to ship the cabinets. Stephanie communicated it to us early in the process and kept us posted of any updates within hours.

During the installation, her attention to details paid off and helped us avoid many pitfalls. She was also very helpful in coordinating the shipment of additional parts.
