Richards Upholstery — Local services in Ashland

After all my previous upholsterers retired, one of my designer colleagues/competitors (!) recommended Brian Richards. I needed a very long bench seat and back cushion for a custom breakfast bench and a smaller one for a mudroom. Brian was very responsive in terms of material quantity needed and quote. His communication, pricing and logistic to deliver the final products were top-notch. We had many setbacks on this extensive construction project, but the quality of his work, responsiveness and business manners were a highlight in all this. One very happy customer thanks to Brian! I hope to have many more projects with him...

I did not use them. I wanted to reapolser my rv furniture and I could buy new furniture for almost half what they wanted. It may have been a reasonable estimate, but it was way more than we were willing to pay.

I saw Richards Upholstery's response and had to respond back myself. I could see if this was some family heirloom that was passed down for generations, but it's for an old camper, for goodness sake. Maybe you could do 3 star work for a 3 star price when appropriate. Or just say it would be...

Brian did a wonderful job reupholstering our dining room chairs- great work, fair price. And over the past few years Brian has restrung/repaired several blinds for us, and done an excellent job with each one. It saved us a lot of money in the end. During many drop-off and pick-up trips to the shop, I've also noticed lots of fine looking upholstery pieces he was working on. Brian is a consummate professional and a very nice guy to boot....
