Ordered a Samsung Washer/Dryer all in one combo along with a Samsung Dishwasher for the labor day savings event. Reliability of the appliances aside, my wife and I just wanted an upgrade that would match our other appliances. Placed order on 8/25 with confirmed delivery date for today 8/30 for 8:30-10:30am. Confirmed delivery with text and phone yesterday. After confirmation I removed appliances from my home so delivery would be smoother (big mistake I know). At 9:08am this morning, received an email saying that appliance delivery will be rescheduled on 9/13. Two weeks from today. Immediately called to see what the issue was., product was damaged upon arrival. No big deal, II contacted support on the phone and through chat to try and get a resolution. On the website, the washer/dryer combo was able to be delivered on Saturday September 7th, if I placed a new order. I explained to multiple agents that I would like for the washer/dryer to be delivered earlier as I can live without a dishwasher but need to do laundry. They stated that could not be done due to delivery only being able on Mondays/Fridays in my area. Not true, according to the delivery scheduler on the website my options were Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday if I ordered the washer/dryer combo alone versus Mondays/Fridays only if I ordered the dishwasher alone/with the washer and dryer. I explained this to multiple agents who just repeatedly stated that deliveries were exclusive to Mondays/Fridays only. They stated they could separate deliveries but then they said that wasnt an option either. I asked for other solutions like ordering the products separately and having the promotion applied after receipt of both products. Was told by one agent on the phone that this was possible but when I asked chat support for written proof/case number for the resolution I was told that the order had to be placed together but they could get a case opened up for a resolution. I assume they were unable to get a case opened because then they went back to the Mondays/Fridays restriction. In the end I gave up and just asked for delivery on October 14th since that is the next day I can get off. Was told that they cannot hold products at the final mile destination for more than 30 days. At this point, I asked for an exception to be made and as of now I was told I would receive an email from the resolution team in 24-48 hours. Conclusion: Costco logistics is a pain. I read the other stories here and hoped that the delivery service operating in my region was one of the "good ones" but it appears that is not the case. I dont understand confirming deliveries the night before without the product being checked to see if it is even in a state to be delivered in. Canceling 30 minutes into a delivery window scheduled one week in advance is ridiculous but Costco is just brushing it off as the norm. Even though they severely inconvenienced me with the botched delivery, they did not offer any resolution besides a delivery date 3 weeks after initial order. Support staff does not seem to be able to view the options that a customer has when placing a new order and just likes telling them they are wrong. Scheduling for a date that would work for me seems impossible and I am unsure if the products will even arrive at this point or if they will just tell me to cancel. I wouldnt be as upset if I had some more flexiblity in my personal schedule but for me but it also seems they are doing everything they can to make this experience as poor as possible. Appliances purchased were not cheap and I expected a better experience. tl:dr: Told that delivery for appliances cannot be done on M/F even though that restriction is only applied to the dishwasher (needs separate installer). Customer service refused to acknowledge the options seen on my end. Asked for credit, was refused, asked for delivery date later and that solution has to be reviewed by someone else. Poor customer service, would not...
Read moreI like Costco as a general rule. The overall experience is.good. There are two things that keep it from getting five starts. Changing the location of item’s in the store is very frustrating. I have stopped searching for items and reluctantly goto Krogers where nothing changes locations. Secondly, I like to get two things out of the way on one visit so I often visit the food court. My experience most of the time (Friday evenings) is the employees at the food court seem very perplexed and often confused. On the most recent visit I sat and watched the lady arrange, then rearrange, only to rearrange again the numbered tickets. From what I could tell she decided to simplify the process. Why should someone ordering a drink wait for someone ordering several items. Same though would apply to a single slice of pizza. Both single items could be expedited. But wait…….what if they purchased a drink and a piece of pizza? Both are easy to pull, but somehow 1+1 =3. You could see her brain crunching the numbers. Somehow combing them created havoc. So she went back to numerically processing the orders. But this required her to rearrange the tickets she just spent 45 seconds arranging. But then, a ticket popped up where the food was still in the oven. This seemed to overwhelm her and her fellow associates. In the mean time the line backed up like they do when Athens gets an inch of snow. I know it’s busy, but there are very few items on the menu. Costco’s whole mission is fair priced, albeit limited selection and fast friendly service. Somehow the food court associates didn’t get the same managers training course. After all this, my cart and its contents were pushed away by another associate who thought it had been abandoned. I was able to track it down and get my items back before they...
Read moreI'll start by saying the store is organized, well lit, and clean!!! But man oh man, they've got some serious kinks to work out!!! I've yet to spend less than 42 minutes waiting for a single whole pizza. Of my six times getting one, 42 minutes was the shortest ticket time... That leads to groceries thawing (realistically it's more like melting since it's unusually warm near the cafe) and I've also witnessed several unacceptable interactions while people watching (since they keep you waiting so long).. I've been subjected to hearing numerous front-end employees joke amongst each other about how much “white people love Costco”, and I've also seen employees borderline berating elderly folks trying to use self checkout... I've wanted to say something to and/or about the front-end employees more than once, but quite frankly that's a hard option to consider when management is involved in the “jokes” or mistreatment of old folks 🤷🏼♀️ I'll finish up by saying that if you fall into the category of being tattooed, or even perhaps less than a perfect 10 in appearance, you're groceries WILL BE tossed thru and counted in a manner similar to a prison guard doing a cell toss 🤷🏼♀️ Similarly, if you're super cute, wearing almost nothing, and in your early twenties, your cart and groceries won't be ransacked, or even touched/counted... You'll simply get your black sharpie line down your receipt and proceed on your way while the pervy sharpie fellows intensely watch your rear end as you walk away 🤷🏼♀️ I'll be grateful whenever it is that the time comes when these bad apple employees have been picked thru and this location's Costco experience becomes that of the one most of us have come to know and expect...
