Great fresh taste, poor value (for me). I'm coming at this review from a different place than most perhaps. 1) I'm allergic to fish, so I could not enjoy a lot of the protein options they had available. 2) I had never been to a Poke bar before, so I didn't really know what to expect. For those like me who have never been, the format of this place is similar to something like Chipotle. You choose a base, which could be rice or greens or noodles, you choose a protein, which is mostly fish options...but also shrimp, chicken, and some others, then you choose your add-ons like veggies and sauces. There are 3 size options, so we opted to choose the large and attempt to share between my wife and I. From a value perspective this is not a good idea as the portion size was unlikely to fill me up on my own, and was more like an appetizer shared between us. Granted, we were quite hungry and have large appetites, but since I only have things like Chipotle to compare this to personally I know that we can share a bowl there and be satisfied at a lower cost. As far as the taste, everything was really good and fresh. The ingredients are served cold which is really refreshing and the sauces recommended by the lady at the counter were really tasty. As far as taste goes I would highly recommend, I just didn't personally feel like it was a good value, so I'm unlikely to return. But the prices here may be in line with other Poke restaurants and that may not be as much of a...
   Read moreMy review is just for the bubble tea, fyi. I know this isn't primarily a bubble tea shop, and I recommend going to another shop for the bubble tea. Primarily because;
The tapioca is very sticky. I've never had tapioca just get completely gummed up in a straw before, but I had to abandon my straw and just sip the tea because it would stick to the sides of the straw like glue. I don't know why this happens here, but maybe it's the brand (or overcooked?). The tea is filled completely with ice. For the price, it's a bit disappointing. I wish I had thought to ask for no ice or less ice, but I wasn't thinking about that as being an issue (it is also winter and cold out).
Nice things: I have eaten here before, and the food is always really tasty. They have plenty of vegetarian options. The staff are super kind and polite. It's extremely clean, smells fresh, and there's a lot of seating for a place this size.
I really do like this place and think people should try it!! I just recommend asking for less or no ice if you ordee the tea đ and maybe try different topping besides the...
   Read moreI really wanted to like this place but it is becoming apparent that it is hit or miss. Their hours are merely suggestions (they close early on a whim often). The quality of the food is decent and the restaurant is clean. The staff can be indifferent and if you place an online order they will most likely be out of any of the marinated or popular items hours before they close. Itâs a shame to order a $24 bowl with tax through a delivery service and not get what you ordered. I tried calling the store and they didnât offer a refund or half off my next order (all things that shouldâve been offered without asking for a regular customer). I guess we will go back to sushi at the prices they charge for a bowl with only half the items I ordered. I literally got a bowl without any raw items because they couldnât figure out how to get in touch with me and decided to offer nothing more than âIâm sorry.â The serving sizes can also be wildly variable if youâre not standing in front of them....
