Asked several people about the price for evening shows since we were at a matinee. No one knew the answer. After the movie I checked at a kiosk for the answer...it was in front of the people I asked. When buying popcorn and drinks, the boy didn't ask us if we wanted tickets. I had to ask. He just wanted to be done with the sale. No one behind us....so no rush. He hands me two empty cups and an empty container for popcorn.
We walk over to give our tickets to the woman taking them. She didn't know the price for tickets at night either. You have to go through the ticketing to get to the popcorn (remember little boy wasn't interested in selling tickets). You hand your empty container at yet a third (you can make it 4 if you buy tickets at the kiosk instead of at concessions, go to concession purchasing location, to through ticketing, then finally to popcorn woman. She takes the container fills it hands it back so you can butter it on top yourself. Can't layer. Get your own drinks.
The ticketing woman sent us to the WRONG movie....She literally looked at the ticket and sent us to the end of the hall. My wise daughter checked the tickets went back and asked her where our movie is.
The seats. Wow. You feel as if you are about to fall over when you sit down. You must recline far back or sit all the way up not touching them. Terrible seats. Uncomfortable.
Three positives: The movie started on time with no issues. It didn't smell bad. Unlimited popcorn and sodas. I didn't check if they had options for unsweetened drinks like unsweet tea or salt free water (Dasani has salt).
We won't be returning. We thought this place...
Read moreThe management here are both extremely immature, unprofessional and disrespectful. we had tickets in the GTX theater for Oppenheimer and we got a speech from the manager after purchasing tickets that the theater was 1-2 degrees warmer (71 per her speech) than normal and we thought no big deal - albeit upon entering the theater it was not 71, it was 80. I keep my house at 70 and it wasn’t even close. We exited the theater before the movie even started - and we’re given a huge attitude from the manager while she was speaking to others entering the theater because we said that it was way hotter than her claims and that the theater air was stagnant and humid, with 100 people in that theater it would have gotten much hotter - so she offered us a ‘full refund’ and sent us over to the other manager who was sly and non communicative about the actual refund because he wouldn’t refund the service fee even though they said a full refund. Secondly he made it a point to let us know that we were wrong about the temperature even though there were more people behind us also seeking a refund due to the heat. Also - while we were waiting for the refund we overheard staff talking about how it’s been an ongoing issue and the AC was indeed broke and they were waiting for a part. The upper management needs to either stop having their site managers lie to customers and do the right thing and close the theater OR they need to know how unprofessional and deceiving their...
Read moreHonestly this place is great, nice staff, clean place, just a generic movie theater. Why I have such an issue with this place is at night if you want to see any movie (doesn't matter if it's PG13 or R) you have to be 21 to even go see the movie. Why do you need to be 21? Because those theaters serve alcohol, and it doesn't matter if you buy alcohol you still cannot see the movie. The first time I experienced this ridiculous rule was when me and my fiancé (both age 20) went to go see Red Sparrow. I could reason that since it was an R rated film that it was some sort of exception and that only R rated films got to be screened in that theater. However that is not the case at all, just yesterday we tried to go watch Pacific Rim at a 9:30 screening because that was the only time we could see it. The new Pacific Rim is a PG13 movie and I thought that we could actually go and see it. Nope. Same story as before, the main reason that I'm upset is because there's no drink minimum that you have to purchase in that theater. So why the hell can't we as responsible young adults go into a theater and enjoy a movie at night? The funny thing is, is that the theater just down the road from our house also serves alcohol in theaters but you have the option of getting alcohol when you get in the theater and you get carded when you order (unlike this theater where you get carded at the door). To anyone who reads this, thanks for reading and...
