We enjoyed our visit to the Athens store. Staff was friendly and they have lots of cool products to purchase. So for the Athens store I give them 5 stars. I do know this is the Google review area for the store in Athens however I have a major complaint with Palmetto Moon Online and there is no where to leave a complaint specific to your online order. So on 11/30/21 I decided to go online and order a few of the items that my daughter and partner pointed out to me in the store. Things they want for Christmas. On 11/30/21 after submitting my order and payment I immediately got an email saying we have received your order. And I got another email from my credit card that I used to let me know that a charge in the amount was made to Palmetto Moon. The next day on 12/01 I get a shipment update email that says orders typically go out in 5-7 business days and that they would send me the tracking information once it shipped. For 10 days all I have gotten are emails about how backed up they are, how short staffed they are, and how my order has not even been fullfilled yet much less a shipping label with a tracking number. By the way the 2 items I ordered were in stock when I ordered and they are still in stock according to their website. I get that all these things can slow shipping down. For example there are times we don’t get our Amazon prime packages in 2 days. But you best bet they let you know exactly where your order is from the time you placed it to it’s being packaged, to it’s been picked up, and finally in route to you for delivery. But even Amazon gets most things here within the 3rd day. But other companies I’ve ordered from both big and small the longest I have had to wait for shipment is 6 days and that’s actually counting the Saturday it was delivered so really 5 days. So I’m just not so sure that palmetto moon Is being honest with their online customers about the delays. I think they oversold after thanksgiving. They don’t have product to send. And they are buying time with their customers by sending the desperate emails about how busy they are. And if that’s not the case then it’s even worse and y’all need to spend some of that major money you’re making to invest in a company wide inventory locator and a package/shipping equipment system for each store so that they can send these orders out. That’s what we did a rack room and I know other places do too. Get it...
Read moreI wouldn’t recommend this place at all to anyone who wants a welcoming atmosphere. The employees aren’t welcoming and they don’t even acknowledge that you’re there. They just continue to have whatever conversations they’re having with their coworker. They also turn their nose up at you as well and pretty much just seem annoyed if you even ask for anything. It’s very unprofessional and rude. It’s quite disrespectful. They seem to only care to cater to women who only wear sizes ranging from small to large. Which is something I have noticed that I’m not the only person who has complained bout. It’s really actually disheartening. It’s also offensive in a way too whether it’s intentional or not. I also don’t see myself going back here until they change their whole attitude and about the people they hire as well. I can go elsewhere where I’m acknowledged and where I know my business and money is going to be appreciated. Decided to give them another chance and they still have a lot to improve on. I know there is a guitar center that just opened down below here but my goodness. The noise was so loud and very unnecessary. Singing covers of songs badly isn’t going to get you more business. And I wasn’t the only one who was annoyed by this. The employees walking around didn’t speak to any of the customers including myself. One finally did but it was forced. And one employee was on her phone having a conversation with someone. Like aren’t you supposed to be working? We did buy three items in the end. The lady who checked us out spelled my name wrong and seemed annoyed that we were ready for check out. Like whoever is the manager here needs to do better! You have rude employees who need to improve their customer skills and actually act like they need their job. Maybe this store just needs a whole new manager altogether. Cause there is a lot that needs...
Read moreExtremely rude woman behind the counter. She seemed like a manager although I have no clue as to how she could have managed to become one. I had called and asked if they had a size of clothing. I was down the road. I came in at most ten minutes later and asked the woman behind the counter. She she had blue eyes, pulled back hair i think and lots of mascara. She immediately had an attitude and threw her finger towards the direction of the rack and said its all there. She then proceeded to bark that only certain items were discounted. I walked over to the rack and looked for the XL the young man on the phone said they had. I could not find them. Only XXL. I went back to the counter where the rude lady was and let her know I had just called, and if she could show me the XL they said they had. She then barked, “if its not there we must of sold it.” Well how can you not remember what you sold in the last 5-10 minutes? The level of rudeness, disdain and snark was something I was not expecting from such a nice store. What I believe happened was the young man misread the size, and the woman, instead of being polite and empathetic about it, was embarrassed and therefore rude. There was also two different areas where these items were located, so she didn’t even have a basic understanding of the store. I imagine i am not the only one who has received this woman’s wrath, If were the owners I would send in some secret shoppers to get an idea for themselves how she is treating...
