The best in the business-- and I'm speaking as a Philly Italian girl who has had her fair share of oils and vinegars! Several years ago, a family member up here in southeastern PA somehow stumbled upon Olive Basket's information while looking for shower gift favors online...funny how algorithms work! She loved the idea of small olive oil favors when seeing the sample packs on the website. None of our local shops offered small sample sizes, so we ultimately decided to give Olive Basket a try. Not only were the oils delicious, but the customer service Eric gave while packing/shipping every order was incredible! I think every shower we've planned since then has featured an Olive Basket favor -- including sample oils/vinegars, as well as mini Seasonello bottles. When asked, we love to share the story of accidently discovering Olive Basket. We now source our specialty oils and vinegars exclusively from Olive Basket, and I make it a point to share their info with others up here in the greater Philadelpha area. I hope to have the opportunity to visit the Georgia shop...
Read moreAgain, can't stress enough how important CUSTOMER SERVICE is (not to mention product knowledge). I was in for just a few items to add to a gift basket. First of all - not acknowledged when I walked in - the girl working was too busy on her cell phone behind register. As I approached the register to ask a question, the girl kneels down to continue her conversation while it was on speaker (as if i couldn't see her)..... She finally made eye contact as she tried to turn the volume down of the person speaking on other end. Here's a tip - Hang up ... it was clearly not a business call - I could hear the whole conversation. Then the few questions I asked - she was clueless. Another tip....try to be a little more helpful - not just "I don't know" , I am in your store about to spend MY MONEY - and you don't even try to help me..... Read morePretty bad customer service. I was the only person in the store but the guy kept giving me one or two word answers. He didnt seem interested in and/or capable of giving me any recommendations. I knew what i wanted when i came in, but had literally a few questions- is there only one lemon variety? ::points to the description of the flavor::. I asked him what smoked olive oil was for- one word “bbq”. I asked if he could recommend one for a greek salad dressing, “depends”. No thank you or bye or come again after checking out. I felt like i had interrupted his smoke break. Only reason im giving two is bc they seemed to have a decent selection and the pricing wasnt bad for these...
