AMG Atlanta Meet The Groomers — Local services in Atlanta

My puppies before and after photos are attached. I was referred to AMG by a lady at the vet who's dog wasn't really hairy. I dropped my 5 month old Morkie off with I think the owner was Keisha on Thurs, Feb. 28. She explained in details which service was offered to Bentley. I agreed on the bath, teeth being brushed, nails filed if needed , and we BOTH agreed only an inch of his hair. Keisha stated she rather start with an inch and if I want more cut when I get there, " it will be easier to take more off than to remove too much and can't put it back". We both agreed. I touched basis about 30 min. later because I thought I missed a call from Keisha but she said she didn't call and all was well. I picked Bentley up from the shop after leaving work. He was completely bald. She had shaven all his hair off and never called me. His initial colors were black, white and tan. After this jacked up visit you could only see tan and a little white ( see pictures). When I asked why she shaved all his hair, she stated his hair was matted around the collar so she had to cut it. I informed her Bentley is brushed daily by me and we have never experienced any matted hair. She still couldn't explain why she didn't contact me. I think she is either inexperienced with puppies with lots of hair or she made a mistake and had to cut all the hair to cover it. My entire family, neighbors, and friends were very disappointed in the service received. I reached out and sent a text and never got a response or call from the owner. Bentley was not himself after leaving this shop.He looks nothing like himself. He looks like an abandoned puppy who has not been fed. I tried to support my own but never will I return or refer anyone here. Maybe she specializes in colors and puppies that are not very hairy. Very disappointed and don't worry about following up now. Now I see why u asked for cash.....no paper trail. See old puppy with black hair and new puppy with white under photos...

I’ve been going here since last year, after finding them on Groupon. Glad to support local business and they do a fantastic job! The customer service is excellent, they’re quick to respond via text and very upfront and fair with their prices! My labradoodle tolerates groomings and they are gentle and patient with him. They’re careful with his injured leg (childhood). He always comes out looking so adorable with exactly what i request as far as his cut. Cons are they are not always timely with opening up on time or within the typical 3 hours groom. Overall, I recommend AMG and look forward to coming here for years to come.

Tips: cash is usually $5 cheaper than using credit card so recommend bringing cash

Brought my 80lb black lab to them, as he had terrible bath anxiety (choking on the bathing lead/ jumping out of the tub, howling, drooling, etc). The owner did not turn me away and bathed him (took 2-3 people to assist). She suggested a 2x monthly bathing routine that I followed. After the 3rd time, my dog had developed a relationship with her brother and his anxiety was reduced to minimal shaking + he no longer required multiple people to bathe him. I have been a loyal customer 2x monthly for the last year and have had a positive experience with everyone. Thank you so much for helping me keep my baby boy clean despite his initial challenges.
