On 7/8/23 my girls and I visited for brunch for the first time, we do a lot of traveling and love to try new restaurants, we heard a lot about Frost Bistro and had mix reviews.. our waitress was really nice. Her name was Dominique, the food came out in a timely manner.. we had brussels sprouts, which was excellent. Some of the girls had the shrimp and grits, lobster and grits, the lamb chops with potatoes which was very tasting The only thing I would say about the lobster and grits is the lobster had a bit too much salt. Other than that very tasty. The grits was cooked to perfection and creamy the creole sauce that came with. It was very tasty. We also have brussels sprouts (thumbs up) and crab claw (we didn’t care for those) the dong fall was the Mamosa fountain. It tasted like juice too sweet not enough champagne, we then decided to order two bottles of Prosecco but they give us BRUT which was very disappointing because you can get brut and any store for $10 and we paid $85 each.. there was no silverware, nor glassware.. we got plastic ware, and those party city champagne glasses that the waitress had to put together at the table. One of my girlfriends decided to place her order eights when she finally decided what she wanted to eat. She told him what she wanted and he did not deliver. She told him that she did not like the presentation and that’s not what she wanted instead of remaking it the young man took her plate without apologizing back to the kitchen where they just pour the sauce over the chicken and sprinkle Ganesh around the plate. what she wanted was the salmon and grits or the lobster and grits without the salmon or lobster she told him to charge her for it, but she does not want the salmon or lobster, which ever one they decided to charge her for, but she wanted the creole gravy poured over the grits and place chicken wings on top of it. We decided not to make a big deal about anything. We only ask the waitress why they don’t serve silverware and glass champagne glasses for the champagne mainly because they kept coming apart and she told us because of covid.. like it’s 2023!! Again we didn’t make a big fuss about anything else because at the end of the day we enjoyed our conversation the atmosphere was still good and her service was really good, but we all agreed that we wouldn’t be back to visit Frost bistro in...
Read moreDo Not go here on a rainy day! There is nowhere stand, so you don't get wet. Rasheeda customer service is amazing 👏🏽. The restaurant is small but cute. My daughter did the chicken and red velvet waffle. The chicken was just regular chicken, nothing spectacular. The red velvet waffle was good...for an additional uncharged of $4. Daughter also had a mimosa, which was pretty good as well. One of my issue is that Rasheeda didn't tell us the one (1) strawberry that was added to the mimosa is an uncharge of $4 and some change....did I say the mimosa came with ONE STRAWBERRY cut up severalways to look like its more! I had the shrimp and grits, with the salmon bite. Minus the salmon bite, the meal was good, and they did not short on the shrimp. My problem was the portion amount. Normally, ppl complain about not having enough shrimp, or maybe the shrimp was small but never because you didn't have enough grits. The plate that my food came out on was a magic plate. It seems like you had a great amount of food, but when you dive in, you are just on the surface.... not with the shrimp (thanks God) but the grits. That SALMON BITE IS GAAAARRRBAGE. first of all, you don't see any trace of salmon. Hell, you don't even taste it either. They turned the salmon into MUSH, and then they mixed it in with everything but enough salmon. And it was dry. Now, I had OLG, salmon bite, and I must say that every bite was moist pink, flaky, tasty salmon. I was disappointed how nasty and dry the salmon bit was. You get one party plastic utensil pack and one plastic cup of water with no refill nor no extra napkin. Now I'm sure if I asked, they would have given me another utensil pack and refilled our water. For the amount of tip Rasheeda took, I needed more attention from a waitress. Anyone! Rasheeda came by to take our orders and bring us the bill. She made or no one else checked on us. The chicken and waffle were $18 plus $4 for the red velvet batter. Mimosa was $20 plus $4 for ONE strawberry. My shrimp/grits and Nasty salmon bite were $32. Gratuity included, I was shocked that Rasheeda tipped herself $27 and some change! Our total bill for two.... $115.79!!!!!!!!!!! I respect the hustle, but Frost Bristol, you got me. One and done for me! It's overrated! OOOHHH, PARKING....LOL PARKING IS $20. I'm not bashing, just leaving an honest...
Read moreI rarely leave reviews but my experience had to be shared. We went on this past Sunday afternoon just before 1pm. There was a line outside but the weather made it bearable. We waited outside for about 20-30 minutes, not terribly long. We were asked if we wanted to be inside or out and we chose inside. We were seated by the restroom but didn't complain. We were greeted by our server pretty quickly, she gave us water and time to look over the menu. She returned after about 15-20 minutes refilled my water and took our orders.
We went straight to entrees, no appetizers and this is when it really starts to go downhill. I have to mention the restaurant was not overly busy when we arrived. The music is a bit loud to the point you have to raise your voice a lot to have a decent conversation. As we waited we saw people in a rush to take pictures but no one checked in on our table. After a more than 30+ minute wait I was able to get my waitress attention (I had to wave her down) to order drinks. We waited well over 30 more minutes before we'd had enough. Adding it all up we had about a 30 minute wait to get in, 20 minutes to order food, over 30 minutes to order drinks and then another 30+ minutes before we gave up.
Our order was shrimp & grits with a side of eggs and lobster and french toast with chicken sausage. I'm not a chef but I don't believe that anything we ordered required rocket science. Our bar order were 2 of the mixed fishbowl drinks, still nothing very hard. Before we walked out we left money for the full amount of our order and then some because as my other half said "the waitress can only do so much".
So basically we spent over 2 hours, more than $200 and still had to find somewhere else to eat. It seems like this restaurant may only be for social media enthusiasts. The pictures of the food look great but I have no idea if it is. I had no idea what I was walking into, I just went by the pictures and the 4 star rating but I will do my due diligence next time. I have never been so disappointed in a dining experience in my 50+ years of life. I will absolutely be sharing my experience with...
