I was here a few weeks ago and needed my hair done fast and this salon was able to do so. As every hair stylist they look at the guest head/hair to see what they are dealing with(no problem). The problem was how she did my hair, but had a nice outcome. As every stylist should know by now you DO NOT detangle your hair dry or brush it from the roots and she did just that. She should have detangled my hair while she was washing it. She hurted my hair so bad I can still feel pain on my head today. This was before she washed it. After she washed my hair she got a paddle brush and blow dryer and brush any and every direction of my hair. As any stylist you should have section it and detangled it, and you start from the end of your hair to the roots. She did NOT do that. Later on she told me she can tell my hair was damage, due to I didn't moisturize my hair enough. I had been to other stylists who said the opposite. So I know my hair was damaged by the Owner herself. She was rough with my hair. My hair didn't felt like it was cared for at all. I didn't want to talk fr. I wanted to leave. I had many stylist who silkpress my hair. This was far the worse one. Remember the outcome was nice which is why she has 2 stars, but the progress was awful. I hope the Owner herself can learn from her mistakes. She don't even need to reply back. Just learn from your mistakes. Please and thankyou. PART 2 If the owner herself can't tell how she hurted me by me making sounds, squinting down my neck and had to grab her wrist to let her know she hurting me.....she blind. You never offered me services. You only said i do need a trim and i agreed. You never offered me protein and hydration treatmeat. Must have me confused. I didnt bash you. My hair was soft with a few naps in it. This will be my first and last time here. Thankyou for...
Read moreI had an appointment for 11:30 and the stylist who is also the owner was 45 min late. She spent 2 hours doing a relaxer+ pixie and my hair still wasn't dry or finished when I left. She did offer to complete the service if I decided to comeback however, I decided against it. She refunded me for services not rendered which I appreciate. In hindsight, I really should've left when she was 45 min late. Ultimately, it was not a good experience.
Edit: I know you didn't respond in that manner. Umm ma'am, I don't have a brother in law. You're tripping. Also everything that you're claiming, I've already stated but I see that you decided to add some razzle dazzle. Furthermore, you did not give me a discount, you REFUNDED me for services not rendered which is the curl that I declined to come back for; because you knew that you were wrong and it was the right thing to do. You are very unprofessional and your response clearly speaks to that. Especially granted that you would TRY to put a clients personal business online. Tell the people how you were consistently inquiring about my love life. Worry about that married man that you are sleeping with and the other one with the baby mama that you're so desperately chasing. Don't come for me because the fact of the matter is that all of this could have been avoided if you were on time and spent more time working than running your mouth. And yes I left because I had to pick up my son. I arrived around 11:35 and didn't leave until almost 2:30. Why would I come back? Be fr. Also I was under the dryer for almost 20 min. AND it was my birthday. AND I had several scabs in my head from the relaxer. AND another stylist fixed the cut. Lol, wow. This is crazy. Seek the help that you so...
Read moreOwner burnt my scalp 8 times when flat ironing my hair, on purpose. She obviously had an attitude that day so I guess she decided to take it out on her client . Then I was still overcharged..
(Update) I saw a notification about how many people saw this post and wanted to explain my reaction:
The person who was supposed to do my hair was working on another client’s hair, so another stylist straightened my hair. Which I assume was the owner. I was getting a pony so she started blowing out my hair, very ruff. Then straightened my hair and burnt my scalp a couple of times. I had a couple of scabs around my hairline. She seemed to be irritated and wasn’t really paying attention when straightening my hair and was trying to get it done too fast.
I started to tear up a little bit, I can tell the stylist who was supposed to do my hair felt bad. She finished my hair off, slicked my edges down and put my pony together. And then she overcharged me…lol
I should have left or said something.. but the vibe seemed off in the shop. It was also my birthday hair so…It is what is.
I kept looking for black owned salons in Atlanta to find the right one. I want to support our people but every time it’s always unprofessional.
It was my 19th birthday. I see everyone’s comments are nice maybe I just got lucky that day.
I am now 23 and I have been anti-salon ever since lol. I just do my own...
