Please avoid this place if you can. This has been my pharmacy for several years and the amount of stress that they have caused me has finally come to a tipping point. I have been spoken to in a condescending tone on multiple occasions. I've been told that the pharmacists and others who work in the pharmacy do not communicate to one another. The carelessness with which this pharmacy operates is disappointing and frankly dangerous.
I take a medication daily. It is on auto-refill, but I will sometimes call up a few days prior to running out just to ensure that it is being processed and that I've done my due diligence in ensuring my medication will be refilled when needed. I called this weekend and was told that the shipment carrying the medication I (and likely a great number of others) take is delayed and they are unsure of when it will arrive. I was told I needed to call again today before noon to see if it has arrived. I am now out of my medication because of something out of my control and was told that it is my responsibility to call them to see if the shipment has arrived and if it hasn't, it then becomes my responsibility to call another pharmacy and have my prescription transferred.
I am a patient and understanding person. I've worked in customer service (specifically in retail) for many years and I look at every situation through the lens of someone who would be working there. In this case, I do not understand why the pharmacy is not calling their patients prescribed this medication to inform them that they will not be receiving it. Now I am late in taking my daily dose of this medication and there is a chance that the new pharmacy won't be able to fill it for up to 24 hours...
This particular Kroger pharmacy does not care about the effects that medications (or not receiving medications) have on people or the fact that some people take medications as life-saving treatment. There is no sense of urgency, no apologies, and no offer of a solution.
I wish I could say that this is the first time I have encountered this attitude from this pharmacy, but it is not. I could write a whole novel on the amount of trouble that I have had getting my dog's seizure medication from them over the years.
All this to say that you should avoid this pharmacy at all costs. Please choose a...
Read moreToday, I requested delivery of my medications from the pharmacy. I later received a call stating that two prescriptions couldn't be processed for payment—yet the delivery driver had already left. I asked why I wasn’t contacted before the driver departed, but the associate had no answer and repeatedly told me I could pick up the medications myself. If I could have picked them up, I wouldn’t have paid for delivery. The appropriate resolution would have been to notify me beforehand or to send another driver at Kroger’s expense, as the error wasn’t mine.
I was understandably frustrated, yet the associate responded with attitude. Now I’m left without my necessary medications. Additionally, I don’t understand why payment failed when I have multiple cards on file.
This is my second poor customer service experience this year. I've been a loyal customer for 6–7 years despite the pharmacy’s inconvenience, but that ends today—I will be transferring all my prescriptions elsewhere.
The second issue was the refund for the delivery fee. I was told to contact corporate, who redirected me to the online pharmacy at 1-800-552-6694. The online pharmacy said they only handle mail orders and referred me back to corporate, who in turn gave me the pharmacy’s number again. No one could help. Eventually, an agent gave me store credit because he couldn’t access my pharmacy payment details. It’s unacceptable to offer a service when no one understands how to support it.
Finally, the delivery driver confirmed that no one informed her to wait while contacting me. She also said the medications weren’t ready when they should have been and no one expected her. She had to call her employer to sort things out. Clearly, this delivery service is not being executed properly and should not be offered in its...
Read moreIt isn't possible to detest this store more than I do. I come regularly to it as my neighbhood store but 97% of the time in the evenings it's evident Kroger expects me to work despite the fact I've worked all day on the job in which I actually am an employee. I, more often than not, find that only self checkout is open exclusively or in conjunction with one paid cashier working. Checkout as an experience is nightmarish at best. When you do receive access to a cashier, the wait is long, the customer greet is mediocre and unprofessional and the bagging is reckless. Which makes apparent there are significantly minimal qualifications to receive a W2 from the Kroger organization. Since obtaining a W2 is so easy, it baffles me that many employees are not either scheduled or available to be staffed on peak evening volume times. Gradually I've elected to more regularly shop at grocers where the overall cost to shop is higher but it's ultimately worth the comfort and convenience that I desire as an already employed individual. Truly, sincerely I desire not to "clock in" for free doing my evening shopping to also check my self out AND spend my hard earned coin at this store. Simply put, this isn't Europe and when I am in Europe (Asia even) I understand as self checkout is culturally accepted. But this isn't that. Please hire and...
