Waffle House — Restaurant in Atlanta

I was optimistic going to this Waffle House as it being new in an up and coming community, but I have some mixed feelings about my recent visits.

It's in a convenient location on the edge of the Glenwood Plaza near Maynard Jackson, but the parking lot is pretty small and cramped. Also the interior is nice and what you come to expect but is a bit smaller than I would have expected and it can get very hard to handle when there's a crowd.

The workers are a mixed bag. The first time we went there when there wasn't any people, the employees were talking loudly about drama and gossip and it was very very unprofessional and unpleasant, however our server Jeremiah was outstanding and very helpful.The second time we went it was a lot busier with more employees and it seemed more manager staff? The employees seemed a lot more organized and professional due to the presence of supervisors and the crowds. But we did have two very nice girls who served us the second time and they were very kind and helpful! Definitely some of their best employees.

The food came out pretty promptly and the one time we did have a mistake they corrected it quickly, which was definitely a plus. The food itself was very tasty and hot! I was very impressed and it was filling as well. The prices were reasonable and a pretty great value.

Overall, it's actually a pretty great location despite a few quirks. Most of the employees are very great who serve you despite if the ones cooking aren't talking about people non stop which is very irritating. The food is great and reasonable, and it's a solid Waffle House location!

I stopped by this place a lil after 2:00 pm (maybe 2:15) today, Thursday 4/24. There was literally only 1 maybe 2 ppl sitting in the restaurant. From the moment i walked in & sat at the bar top not ONE EMPLOYEE SPOKE nor greeted me. I looked around for a menu, grabbed the menu & started to look over the menu when a girl with curly hair approached me & say “u know what u want to drink” 😳 like huh??? A, hello 👋🏾, welcome in, good afternoon, or “how are you” would have been a GREAT WAY to start the conversation. A lil startled i say, no I’m not sure yet let me look over the menu. After a few moments she then asked me from afar “u ready to order” i say yes. She come near me as i start to place my order then literally CUT ME OFF MID SENTENCE & say “oh, let me go grab something” i was in DISBELIEF!!! I immediately say, “oh that’s ok sweetie as i get up to leave” now she’s standing there looking DUMB as if she don’t know what went wrong. & it’s SAD TO SAY that she probably truly feel as if NOTHING WENT WRONG. 😑 One thing about me “i don’t spend my money ANY WHERE” & if you can’t even take less than a half second to GREET a customer that’s willing to patronize the company YOU chose to work for then why would i spend my hard earned money here to help you pay YOUR BILLS? Visited this location with my two granddaughters and Kira was our server. Honestly not sure what happened with our order but a table in front of us came in after us and got their food before us although I will note they had a different server. I ordered a kids waffle with blueberry nougat for one of my granddaughters and when it came out it had no blueberry nougat. Ordered the kids waffle with bacon and a side of scrambled eggs for my other granddaughter, and Kira brought out an All-Star Special. When I advised that was not what was ordered, she said just keep it and I would not be charged and she would get the correct order brought out. Additionally I asked for scrambled eggs with cheese on my order and I got plain scrambled eggs. Kira took that order back to get it corrected. Also asked for one fruit punch and one Sprite, and received two fruit punches. Again she said just keep it at no charge and she would bring out the Sprite. After finally receiving our food and waiting at least 10 to 15 more minutes I still had not received my waffle with my All-Star special so when Kira came back to the table I told her just to put it in a to go container.
