As the first review I wish I had something good to say about this place. This was my first time visiting the area and I was in need of an article of swimwear. Thankfully, this store was conveniently located right on the beach and I was desperate. Because of the location and time of year I was prepared for the prices to be on the high side, though that wasn’t the worst thing about my time spent in this store. I was trying on swimsuits, which were luckily on sale and had been marked down by the owners; I found one that was only 15 dollars that I liked. Seeing only the two changing rooms with no signs or wait I let myself in and began changing. At that moment there came a knock on the door from the storeowner, and I say loudly through the door I was in the room and changing. The owner then proceeds to burst in on me half-naked, and in a huff he chides me that I am in the male changing room and I have to get out. Taken by surprise by the intrusion I say I will get out once fully clothed. I come back out and once again do not see a sign on the door or anywhere near it indicating that this changing room is for males only, and the other rooms which the owner points me to (which is tucked away and out of my sight) does not have a female sign either. Still needing the suit I take it to the register where the owner is still in a horrible mood but precedes to check me out, informing me that the suit is 25 dollars. I am confused and tell him that the tag clearly states it is 15. He doesn’t believe me at first, not bothering to even look at the tag until another woman behind me leans over and points this out to him. He studies the tag, seeing that it does in fact state the lower price, which I assume either he or his partner had written on the tag after crossing the original price out (they were all on sale after all.) He marches passed me and goes over to the rack the suit came from and reads all the other tags to compare it, which I have no idea what he expected to find. He returns, stating that someone had written the price on the tag, which was obviously true, but by the glare he was then giving me I assume he was accusing me of writing the price onto the tag rather then turning around and asking his partner if she had been the one to write the sale price. He himself had been the one to tell me about the sale as I walked into the store ten minutes before. Despite all of this he was not budging on the higher price, refusing to honor the clearly marked 15, and thankfully his partner finishes the transaction, as I was visibly furious. I pay full price for the item and I leave the store (apparently the sale didn’t apply to me despite the sale tag) and I slowly realize just how unacceptable the entire experience had been, and truly considered turning right around and returning the suit. However, we had just found parking after twenty minutes of circling the parking lot and paid, and other stores that I knew of could only be reached by car. Therefore, I could be stuck with no suit at the beach for the day or deal with it. I choose the latter, though I was still bitter. Atlantic Beach is wonderful and I had a great time otherwise, though if you are in the area and need swim wear, please don’t make the same mistake I did. Avoid this place and save yourself a headache by not forgetting anything for your time...
Read morethe workers are a couple of old fashioned racist people, my friends and I came in the store and they were acting so nice and polite but as soon as my friends starting speaking Spanish with me they started acting super sketchy. Then next thing we know they starting asking if we needed help and then starting acting more hostile. Then after they asked my friends to stand in the Corner of the store to keep an eye on them but my friends just left. Then while I was still shoping the lady asked me if I needed help and I said no and then said the guy who was paying to go call her husband that I needed help with something to come and help him, when I told her I didn’t and then afterwards stayed with me as if I was stealing and treated my friends as thieves, then for a while looked at us for a while then she hit me on my shoulder while talking to the other lady didn’t even apologize. Then after everything she apologized saying that she was worked up and overwhelmed with the store as if that justified all of her actions. Just saying be careful and also keep in mind they had some trump stuff almost everywhere so don’t go in the store if you Don’t wanna get discriminated against just cause of the language you speak and the color of your skin and don’t go in groups either or they’ll think...
Read moreRude. Took my son to get an ice cream (ice cream signs all over the building). We walk in, the door is open from the street, and the owner asks how he can help us, we say we would like to get ice cream. He mumbles something like they are closed or he only sells clothes. I ask him to repeat himself and say again we would like ice cream. At this point he tells me in order for us to get ice cream he would have to get up and he does not feel like getting up and walking to the back of the store to get ice cream. I laugh and ask if he’s serious. He says yes, that he does not feel like walking to the back of the store, and that is someone else’s job. At this point I walk out with a child close to tears. I am truly shocked by this incident and had to write a review. This store clearly advertises itself as an ice cream shop as it is written all over the outside of the building. The customer service was truly awful and shocking. Do not give this man your business. He cares nothing for his customers. I REPEAT. DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE. I REPEAT. DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE. We found a very nice ice cream shop at Atlantic Station- go there the next time your kids...
