I live in an apartment and back in March, my fridge went. My landlord called Tony's and arranged for a fridge to be purchased. Tony's called me immediately and said they could come out right away. I explained I was on my way out the door in an hour and they assured me they were on their way and it wouldn't take much time. Well, I waited an hour and a half after the time they were supposed to be here when they finally showed up. Flash forward 2 months almost to the day... the fridge they brought stopped working. Called my landlord again who called them. They told him it was under warranty and would replace it. They called me and said they were on their way (this is at 6 oclock on a Tuesday evening). I get up for work at 3am so by 9pm, when they still hadn't been to my house, I left a voicemail stating to call me on Wednesday to reschedule. Wednesday comes and no one calls me in the morning. By 11am, I finally call them, no apology, nothing. The gentleman asks me what time I'm home from work, I tell him around 5pm -- he says he will be there no later than 6pm. I come home from work, take what's left in my fridge out and place it on my table and wait. By 9pm, they still haven't come so again. I go to bed after leaving another voicemail. I'm a single mom, working 2 jobs, putting my son through college on my own. All of my groceries that I just bought on Monday are gone. No call, no show two days in a row. I wouldn't do business again with these people if they were the last place on earth. HORRIBLE and now it's Thursday and they still haven't contacted me. How are people allowed to treat...
Read moreWe've been using Tony's since we bought our house 20 years ago. I thought it was important to leave a CURRENT review. The original owner was great. Then it changed hands & with COVID it was not the same. I read some pretty bad reviews made during that time. However, I saw that it had changed hands again, so I wanted to give it a shot again since my dryer died. I had sent an email & called but was having trouble connecting with them, so I drove up to their South Attleboro location yesterday & just happened to catch the new owner Matt and his knowledgable employee. They came out today exactly when promised & it was a tripped breaker. Did I feel dumb! However, Matt asked me the last time dryer was cleaned. Um. Idk? He said sometimes there can be a bigger reason it trips the circuit breaker. Did I want him to check? I said yes. Long story short I had melted wires & the back panel of the dryer had burn marks. Very scary! He could fix it, but I ended up buying a new "used" one from him instead. I also asked it they had time to check my old washer too since it had been showing its age. It just needed a new clutch, so he ended up fixing that too & it is great now & our "new" dryer is wonderful. Side note...Matt found a charred $100 bill in my old dryer & encouraged me to see if the bank may possibly reimburse me. Wow! How honest is that? Matt has got himself a loyal customer now too! It seems like the business is going strong, so rather than email or call...I'd encourage an in person visit the 1st time you communicate. I now have Matt's cell number, so I'm sure I'll get him the 1st time I call in the future!...
Read moreIf you re looking for a friendly and professional appliance service then Tony s used Appliance IS Not the place to call. first of all these guys never answer phone calls. I left a message and they called me 3 days later. I stopped by and talked to George who was helpfuf and booked and appointment with the owner himself. I wanted them to install a Motor stater on my washing machine. The part didn t arrive in time. So i called them 2 days before the schedule and rescheduled for another day. I was still on the phone with their employee fixing a time and day for service when he informed his boss about my name and i heard a non professional and disrespectful comment about me from the owner himself. I stopped by and told the employe if his boss does not want my business there is no need for that kind of language. I rescheduled ahead of time because the part delivery was delayed. He assured me he was coming to install it on the promissed day. I agree with other reviewers these guys suck at this business. They didn t show up and didn t return my call either. It looks like this owner wanted to sell me his motor Stater plus labor charge. He basically wanted me to pay him the price of a new Washer. Bottom line is these guys are a no call no show. They re not dependable. Make sure you call Sears or a reputable...
