As a cookie lover, I am disappointed that this place is such a disaster. A portion of the proceeds going to the Mormon Church solidifies my resolve to not give them business.
Please note as well that even higher-rated reviews note the unfriendly employees.
I checked out this place soon after it opened. There was not a customer or employee in sight. Nor was there the slightest scent of cookies. I just walked out.
I later spoke to the franchisee on the telephone. He said that people order the cookies on the touch-screen device and that the employees are busy out back making cookies. I could see the entire store and no one was in sight.
I ordered a cookie a few months ago because it was free through a promotion. It took 90 minutes to deliver the cookie less than 10 minutes. It was not very good when it arrived,
There was another free promotion last week. I was having lunch in the same shopping center and ordered the cookie online during my meal. I watched the estimated pick-up time slowly but surely increase.
I finally walked over at least 20 minutes after placing my orders. There still was not a whiff of cookie, but there were several 30-something year-old employees and a few customers.
The two employees filling the orders looked more overwhelmed than Lucy and Ethel at the chocolate factory despite things truly not being at all buddy. After a few minutes, I asked the cashier about my order. She walked over to the screen and said that my order would be ready in a few minutes.
My order was made in a few minutes,
The young woman working the pick-up counter did not smile or say a word to me or to anyone else picking up even large orders. One would think that selling cookies would be a happy thing and that a $5 cookie would buy you a thank you.
I was handed a box and had to request a bag. I was handed the bag without a smile or a word. Again, a $5 cookie should buy you a bag.
My partner commented after the first cookie that they should somehow be in a cellophane bag or other packaged in the box to help keep it fresh. Nope.
This was the second time that I ordered a frosted sugar cookie and the second time that it neither was warm nor tasty despite my getting it directly from the store. I truly prefer the store-bought Lofthouse variety that sell for $3/dozen.
I speculate that the cookies are made offsite and trucked to the store.
Returning to the LDS issue, the Crumbl founder/CEO is a Mormon who is required to give a portion of his money to the church. His income comes from franchise fees.
I am a middle-of-the-bell-curve conservative who greatly dislikes the Mormon church. I believe that they only recently allowed black people to join the church.
On top of this, I have Googled the CEO. My honest opinion is that this young guy is incredibly arrogant and...
Read moreI visited this location twice upon walking through the door both times no one seemed to even notice I walked in. The first time I was very confused on how to order, so I stood at the register area waiting after a while a random customer told me how I could use the kiosk to get cookies. Prior to none of the workers budged while I was standing there. Maybe that's the whole process of crumble in attleboro I don't know. I went to the kiosk found nothing appealing so I then walked out. The next week same things I walk in no greetings nothing 🙃 I walk to the kiosk order my son's cookies paid with my card and walk to the counter. The girl whom served me the box of cookies said my name showed me the open box I said yes thank you and walked out. As I said before not sure what to expect but knowing from working with people in general as an establishment always greet anyone whom walks into where you work. I tasted the pink velvet cook needless to say from my opinion it was not desirable to me it tastes like an uncooked sugar cookie , tasted the way play dough smells yet the frosting was delicious. Personally I'd rather not again, mainly also because there's always different cookies and I'm afraid to spend ridiculous amount money on something...
Read moreTrying Crumbl cookies has been on the top of my "foodie bucket list" for so long now. Being that Rhode Island is so behind the times we don't have any locations here (yet! Soon though!) I decided it was time to take the drive to Massachusetts to finally see what all the rage is about..
Located in a strip plaza it looked moderately busy but the line actually moved so fast it wasn't a long wait at all. The smell when you first enter is like omg cookie heaven. Multiple ways to place your order, online, at the kiosk or in person..either way it wasn't intimidating. The man taking my order was very friendly and within 5 minutes my cookies were ready. The guy presenting them was also super nice and they looked ahhh-mazing.
I bought a 4 pack box not knowing how filling or good they were gonna be and for $16 they are absolutely worth the price. I tried the rocky road and it was one of the best cookies I've ever had. So soft and chocolatey with a gooey marshmallow center- magical actually. Very very filling, but in a good way!! I can't wait to eventually try some other flavors in the future.
Overall this place lived up to the expectations I had and then some. Very pleased with the service and product and I will for sure be...
