Some salespeople aren't knowledgeable enough (ESPECIALLY in TVs, a huge seller for best buy), and the one person who had some understanding had an "I like this too" attitude. Also he still got some things wrong, but at least unlike the first guy he admitted it. BUT MY NEW ADDITIONS A COUPLE MONTHS LATER IS THIS:
They don't even seem to know their OWN system! The employee had to call the manager, who corrected many issues while STILL GETTING THINGS WRONG had being confused about what I wanted. The pressure they out on my was so hard that I actually had to go to the Warwick location the next day and get my original order restored.
Still...If you're buying a TV or audio system over $1,000 the Warwick location might be 30 minutes away, but it's worth it for the best Best Buy staff I've ever met.
But...for cheaper purchases under 1,000 sure. And IRONICALLY if you're making a COMPUTER purchase...This is actually better than Warwick. (The ONLY case I'd recommend this, and even then Seekonk is good enough if it's closer)
In the original version I said it's better than the Seekonk location. I no longer think that. The Seekonk location seems to be working to get back up to the quality it was a decade ago. I visited it after the initial review and was shocked to find the staff were now nicer and more knowledgeable than a couple years ago...And better than North Attleboro! to Only buy from this location if you know EXACTLY what you want, or have a basic need lke a cord (Even then, the selection if cords is better in other locations.)
Home theater though? Go to Warwick, or I can even say for TVs, Seekonk seems okay too now (Stick to Warwick for audio though. Bigger show room.)
The only reason this isn't one star is nobody is mean and the store itself looks nice, but I actually WILL be contacting Best Buy. Maybe Seekonk is getting back to their former glory because people like me said something. If that's the case, now I need to say something to get THIS store back...
Read moreI made an appointment months ago to have an audio system installed in my vehicle witch usually is not an issue i've brought multiple vehicles their in the past, same with my father for the exact same installs. When i got their for my 10AM appointment i was told that it was going to be an all day affair for a job that i've had done in the past that only takes 4 hours max. (Door speakers, tweeter's, amps and subs.) I was dealing with Armando, he never went over the install with me prior to taking my vehicle. he called me later in the day to tell me he had to do permanent modification to the vehicle. I was ok with the modification it would of been nice to know prior to drop off. I got another call later on in the day from Armando telling me he got tied up and was just getting back on my vehicle and at this time it around 5 5:30. I went to the store to talk to a manager and they just gave me the run around. And said it would be another 2 hours until the vehicle was done. I left then later on got a call. I went to pick up the vehicle at 8:30PM i get their and knock on the door mason answered and told me that the amp wasn't powering up and they needed more time. 10min went by and they pulled the truck out. I looked the truck over and noticed that under the whether tech floor mats they ran the wires for the subs above the carpet instead of under it. And i was told by Mason " we had limited time and its like that for safety". In all the years ive been going their ive never seen so much unprofessional employees. The way they run the bays their is crazy to think they still have business. And the work that they produce is awful and hacked. When Matt worked their i never had an issue like this in all the years ive gone their. I used to highly recommend people to get their car audio installed here but not anymore. Again very unhappy with how hacked my truck was and how unprofessional the techs are and how it is...
Read moreI have been coming to this store for around 6 years, have bought a lot of merchandise, and have never had an issue until today. My Sony tv that I purchased in 2017 has been giving me some issues with freezing and dead pixels in the corner. I purchased the 5 year protection plan along with the tv. Earlier today, I drove 40 minutes to the store with my receipt to see exactly what I needed to do for either a repair or exchange. Three people (two at the front desk and one on the floor near the Sony televisions) explained to my boyfriend and I that since it was a 55 inch tv we had to bring it into the store as televisions 42 inches and under could be serviced at home, and that since they did not have the tv in stock we could get one of equivalent value/brand. The employees said that we could get the 65 inch in replacement of it as it was the closest to the value we paid for the 55 inch (999$ In 2017) and to bring the tv in and it would be an easy swap. We drove 40 mins home, packed up the tv and cords and drove another 40 mins to do the swap. When we returned maybe two hours later, two different employees were on at the desk. They told us that they did not know who told us that before and that we received bad info, that it was actually TVs 42 inches or under that could be brought in for a swap and 55 inches would require a tech to come to the house or we would have to leave it at the store and be without a tv for the time it takes to diagnose, order parts, and fix. Not wanting to be without a television, we said we would wait for a geek squad appt to come to the house. We could not make the appt in store and were directed to call, however was on hold for an hour with no answer and no appt made. The whole experience was very...
