UNBELIEVABLE!!!! This store is nothing short of AMAZING. Yesterday I decided to treat myself to some new books. With a Pandemic happening around us it’s easier to just order a book online without needing to contact anyone else BUT I’m grateful I didn’t go about it this way. I messaged the online store about the “blind date” book program that they do (you should look into, it’s cute and a great way to find a new book BASED off of what you love rather than judging it by its cover....get it?) and surprisingly enough I was actually talking to a real life current worker! When I tell you that I have never once been spoken to in a bookstore much less asked for a suggestion (everyone has different taste, and I’m a little picky at times) I’m not lying. Katie (a ray of happiness and a great personality) not only gave me the information I asked for but then continues to give me suggestions, update me on new books to try, offer curbside services or porch drop offs AND thought of another book after hours and sent me an email with it( after I didn’t find a book Style that I was looking for, and the new book was a combination of genres I love!). Today I feel like I not only found 5 AMAZING books, but I was able to support a local business with and amazing staff that’s willing to go above and beyond. I was even greeted with smiles and the same enthusiasm from those that I picked my bag of goodies up from( didn’t catch their names but just as sweet and attentive!) In Summary, a huge shoutout to Katie for making me feel special and taking such good care of me, as well as the other store workers! For those that seek this place out in Auburn, you will NOT be disappointed! This town needed a good hearted bookstore like this one and we need to support our local businesses!!! Go give my girl...

So I Finally got to go to Auburn and visit the Auburn Oil Company. Me and my mom went to eat at the Auburn Draft House and while we were waiting for our take out we decided to walk around for a few minutes. We walked passed 2 or 3 buildings and ran into the Auburn Oil Company. I freaked out and told my mom where we were because I have been wanting to go there since the day they opened. I asked my mom if we could go in and she said yes. Outside the building there was a sign for the coffee they were making and one listed was Butter Beer from Harry Potter. I have always wanted to try Butter Beer from somewhere and never have so this was my chance. Me and my mom went inside to look and we both got coffee and let me tell you OMG the Butter Beer was SO DELICIOUS!! This butter beer actually had coffee in it and I loved it! If you have never tried Butter Beer you deffiently need to try it. It is really, really, great. And besides the coffee there were tuns of books worth checking out. I like reading romance books, mystery books, and young adult fiction books and we still had a few minutes before we had to get our food so I decided to glance at the books and see what they had. there were so many books that I thought looked interesting to read. I'm going to have to go back one day and make a list of all the books that I want to read. This place is deffiently worth checking out if you...

This bookstore is hands down my favorite store ever. I live in Birmingham, but every time I come to Auburn I always plan in at least one visit to Auburn Oil. Their staff is amazing and friendly, they have cards with handwritten reviews on the shelves, they have an ever-rotating staff favorites section, and an incredibly well-organized store. One of my favorite parts is that even if I go in the store multiple times within a month, there's something new every time. The kids' section is wonderful too! One of my favorite activities both before and during the pandemic is to get a Rick Bragg coffee and peruse the store. If only they would open a second store...
