Picture Steak and Shake on a Sunday night, with only half their staff working and a line out of people out the door waiting for food and service, that experience would have gone better and be at least 3 times faster than this restaurant. Do not go here until they fix their internal/management issues.
Let me start off by saying I have had this restaurant numerous times. The service used to be good/acceptable, but around July and after that it started to get worse and worse every time we came. Tonight we decided to go to the restaurant and have some dinner. This is where the fun starts.
We showed up and waited to get seated, all things were going well. Once we got seated, met our server, and put our drink orders in we did not see him again for 16 minutes. That’s how long it took him to bring 2 beers out for the 5 we ordered, there was about a 5 minute break in between trips for the beers. That is how this night started. Once he got us all of our beers, we finally were able to order food. Our table order 2 appetizers, a large pizza, and a burger - most would assume this would be a simple order for a restaurant to fulfill, well most people would be wrong.
After we ordered the pizza, we did not see our server again until the clock hit 26 minutes. At this point everyone had been out of beers for about 10-15 minutes. He comes back and gets refills for those who wanted them. At 31 he comes back with our drinks and tells us that our food will be a little bit longer. So we accept that and think not much of it (at this point we forgot that we ordered two appetizers).
We are now very hungry, it has been 44 minutes since we ordered food. Our server comes back to our table now and say, Dramatic music “I’m sorry, your food is going to take a little bit longer.” Keep in mind it has been a full hour since we sat down and it has been 44 minutes since we ordered.
Side Note Since had sat down we had 4 other tables, FOUR, that got their food out in a decent time. One of these tables had 3 people at it and they were able to get drinks, appetizers, food, and to-go boxes, ALL BEFORE WE EVEN GOT APPETIZERS. End of side note
Finally that glorious moment happened, at 56 minutes we were finally got a little bit of our food. I say it like this because only our pizza was delivered, it took another 9 minutes after that for the appetizers to come out, the burger took another 3 minutes after that! Somehow after all this time waiting the food actually came out hot, so that was really nice. The pizza was over salted and bottom of the crust was burnt, at the time no one cared because we were so hungry though. Everything else seemed OK, nothing to write about, literally.
So to get back to the food delivery, we had a new worker who delivered our food and when we asked him why it took one hour for any food to show up to the table, he looked around and told us that it was busy. After that statement, he said I would assume the kitchen got backed up. I would normally believe this, but we have been in this restaurant when it was actually busy, once we sat down it was NOT busy. Our entire side of the the establishment had 5 tables empty and there was not line to get in the place. After this he told us that those were his only guesses but he would confirm. He came back and told us that yea, the kitchen dropped the ball and put the burger on late.
So there we have it, the reason our food took ONE entire hour, a whole sixty minutes to get to us any of our food. Unless you want subpar service and a terribly long wait time I would not go here. Something has changed since July, I do not know if there was a management change or if the kitchen staff just decided that they didn’t want to work efficiently, either way I would not recommend anyone go here until they can fix their internal issues and not force their customers to wait over an hour to...
Read moreAs a long-time, loyal patron of Draft House, I am writing this review with immense disappointment and concern regarding an incident on 9/7/2025 and the way it was handled by management. A patron was smoking on the patio, which is a violation of a city ordinance. I stepped away and asked a server to address the situation. When I came out of the restroom, the patron—another local service industry employee— was lurking outside of the restroom and began to verbally harass me. I stepped away and rather than entering the bathroom herself she turned to advance towards me. Feeling deeply unsettled, I left. I have decided to file a formal police report for this harassment. The next day, I returned to speak with the manager, Dustin. He led our conversation by saying how it had been a long weekend for him, he was tired, and had been drinking. Instead of listening to my legitimate concerns, he was incredibly defensive and unprofessional. He talked over me, refused to hear my side of the story, and repeatedly insisted that the patron was "really nice, she'd just had too much" and that he could "read energy." He even tried to deflect by accusing me of getting the chef, Bobby, involved, even though I had no contact with him. The manager did admit that the patron was so belligerent that he had to tell her to sit down and calm down several times after I left. His defensiveness, ridiculous excuses, and admission of guilt are a clear reflection of his poor management. I am incredibly disappointed that after years of patronage, my safety and respect were not a priority. It's clear that this establishment would rather protect its toxic culture and management's ego than its customers. But hey, they have an energy...
Read moreGenerally good food, sluggish service. Very disappointed in our experience tonight. Had to leave a review after our experience. Have eaten here a few times over the past year, always enjoyed the food. Service has typically been extremely slow, I always credit it to the fact that's it's usually no more than 2 wait staff running the entire restaurant. Tonight, after a long wait, we decided to give Draft House another go. Tonight's drink specials were $5 "select" pints, neither the wait staff nor the bartenders nor menu were able to tell us which drafts were considered "select". One of our party ended up paying over $11 for one beer because of this lack of clarity. Our burgers were fine, but two of our party ordered fried chicken, one was a chicken tender basket, the other a fried chicken sandwich. Both were served kid's meal style frozen, pre-breaded, processed chicken patties straight out of a bag. We have had DH's usual REAL chicken before, and it's delicious. This was not even comparable. No mention was made of this before or during our order or we would have certainly chosen something else. Over $30 spent between 2 people for what was essentially Tyson chicken tenders. Not generally one to complain about a restaurant. We have enjoyed DH in the past, but this trip was a deal-breaker.
I can drink a $9 beer anywhere. Doubt very seriously that I...
