J&M Bookstore — Local services in Auburn

J&M Bookstore is definitely an Auburn tradition. They have a nice selection of AU gear, accessories and other items. I did not give it a five as it is not very accessible since they closed the second store. There is no parking allowed in the large lot directly behind the store. The parking garage is a block away. The only other option is street, metered parking which is scarce. My wife needs handicap parking which is not available at all. In the past we spent a good bit at the other store. With limited access to this location it is not much use to us....

This store is such a treasure that I consider it part of the Auburn University Campus. Right off of College St. You cant miss it. J and M is a landmark. In the age of E-books, Amazon, big box stores, and online coursework; locally owned bookstores along with local retail stores have taken a hit. J and M is one of the last of its kind. When you go to Auburn make SURE that you walk into J and M and buy something. If I don't stop into J and M at least once while at Auburn I feel like my trip was incomplete! God bless...

My favorite bookstore in Auburn, I have been shopping here for 35 years. They have the best selection of tshirts, sweatshirts and merchandise around, and their prices tend to be better than the other two major book stores. The biggest problem is there is not a lot of parking there. You have to drive down Magnolia and enter a behind-the-store parking lot on your right. Then you walk through an alley between Ware's and J&M to go back to...
