On any other day, I would give Taco Mama's a 5/5 because let's be honest their Tacos are to die for; however tonight was a different experience all together. Tonight my family and I walked into Taco Mama's with the intention of eating dinner. When we arrived the line was out the door, so we asked our 15 year old and his brother and sister to go grab a table while we waited in line. A few minutes later a bus boy came and asked our children to get up because we had not yet ordered. Our children did as asked and came and told us what happened. The manager Noah Duffy said that their policy is that "we don't allow customers to sit down before ordering." However, after taking a moment to look around we noticed that several other people were sitting down before ordering. I went up to him to ask why other people could sit but we could not and he said that it was just their policy. He went to ask another set of patrons who were grown to get up, but they replied that their parent were ordering. Needless to say no one else complied with his request, yet my family and I were made to get up. It baffles me how a manager could ask children to get up but not other patrons in the restaurant. I'm not sure if I'll ever go back, but I do believe that if it is a restaurants "policy to not allow people to sit before ordering" then it should be policy for all and not just some. I'm honestly not sure if it's worth mentioning but my children are half Hispanic and the other patrons who refused to get up were white...so my heart is hoping this has nothing to do with it but unfortunately I...
Read moreI used to love this place truly, but man when they say all toppings are free, it’s because they use a baby spoon to put it on, I ordered a steak bowl with extra pico (none was on there) sour cream, rice, cilantro, and guacamole. I ended up using the chips they give you because if I didn’t eat the chips it’ll I would’ve had about a child’s portion. A year or two ago I went here a lot because I could sure spend 16$ on a bowl but I was full. Now it’s disgraceful. Then let’s talk about cleanliness or food prep. I never do a review but now it’s enough, last time and this time I went there thinking last time was a coincidence I got violently sick an hour later. Throwing up almost all of it. This cost me 23.50 after tipping the lady pushing buttons only $3 tip. Why the heck wouldn’t you just got to chipotle, more food, fresh as well and rewards so at least at some point you get a free meal. They’re taking advantage of college parents who give their card away. That bowl cost them 4$ to make and it is a 500% mark up. Do not eat here, go to tacorita if you don’t...

Poor food quality, lacking flavor. No oversight of the kitchen.
The salsa is closer to Ragu pasta sauce than anything resembling pico.
The meats aren't seasoned. Maybe they're seasoned for a nursing home cafeteria version of Mexican food? What spices may have been on the pulled chicken boils off in the vat of water where it's kept.
The tortillas aren't fresh, nor are they grilled.
I thought that the refried beans were from a can, but this doesn't explain why they were cold and frozen in the middle.
My least favorite part was the price. It's expensive. Especially considering the poor quality of the product, it is...
