Save yourself the trouble and order your apliances elsewhere. I ordered a range in September 2023, was told I would get it in three months... flash forward to January of 2025, and I finally got a range. Notice, I said "a" range and not my range, because they did not send the one I ordered. After over a year of no range they offered to "upgrade" my order, they assured me this "upgraded" range matched the specifications of the one I ordered so imagine my surprise when we went to install and found out it was dual fuel instead of an all-gas (what I ordered). I had to pay over $6k to get my electrical panel upgraded to support this new range due to their company's error. Not only was it the wrong range, they also sent it without any knobs. I was told multiple times they would expedite shipping of the knobs to me but they never did. I ended up having to contact Ilve, the stove company, myself and pay for knobs. When I brought these concerns to The Range Store and requested a refund, I was offered $500. Nearly half of that would be going to pay for the knobs that I had to order myself. I said this was not nearly enough given the experience I have had and received no response. I wish I could say this lack of communication was out of the norm but over the nearly two years that I've been dealing with this company, receiving no response has become the norm. After the original three months estimated for the delivery had come and gone I called, emailed and texted continuously asking for updates. Rarely would my messaged be answered and when they did I was given any number of excuses as to what was going on. When they said they would call me back with updates, they never did. The absolute least this company could've done in the face of all these issues was communicate and yet they didn't. While the wait was long, even longer than we'd all first assumed, the process with Margarite and The Range Store could not have been easier. Appreciated The Range Store being able to offer the original price after the company announced a significant raise. Margarite was available to answer questions when I had any, and proactively contacted me when she got further info.
Yes - the range delivery was significantly later than we thought, but that has been my experience with many things during this home build. Margarite was unfailingly cheerful and helpful, trying to get more details even when there weren't any.
Now that the range is installed and we've moved into the house could not be more pleased with our choice, and with the service on the order provided by the range store. We were building in a location 700 miles from The Range Store and resided at the time in yet another state - but that was never an issue. Although we do not plan on duplicating this home build I would absolutely order from The Range Store again if I had the need, and would have complete confidence recommending...
Read moreVery disappointing experience purchasing an Ilve range from this store. Ordered July 2021, estimated delivery late November 2021. Delays, we were understanding. Then had weekly check ins for 2 months via phone with Margarita. Range arrived through customs and was at their warehouse waiting to be picked up and delivered to us. Then January 9th 2022 someone we had never talked to called and said they made a mistake and it had never come from a Italy and we had to wait another 3 months or more after a two months delay. Very sketchy no answers giving answers as to how on this day and age we could have so many details of it along the way and arriving then -it just never arrived. This is not the first they have done this. Search FB for “Ilve-Hallman-Italian Range” group, many stories like this and worse. Margarita solicited business in this group then disappeared when her lies were uncovered. They charge your credit card right away as well. We thankfully got our money back and bought from Hallman who had in stock ranges. But beware if you are ordering an Ilve range from this store! Find another vendor...
