I've been living here for about 6 months with my fiancé and we love it here. We LOVE taking advantage of the movie theater room they have downstairs. It's so much fun. The workout room is certainly one of my favorites. It certainly does feel like you're living in a high class place and I absolutely love it. The rooftop is absolutely one of my favorite places. It's exactly as pictured. Mt. Rainier is STUNNING! A literal dream come true. In case if anyone is wondering what a standard 1 Bedroom looks like at this place, I took the liberty of taking pictures of my place. I didn't take too many pictures of our bedroom because we're still settling in lol! But the bedroom has a nice walk-in closet (Only took a picture of the door to give you a sense of where it is. Not taking a picture of the inside that's weird lol). There is a washer and dryer behind the door of the bathroom. It's certainly interesting but I like it. Regarding the bad review that Jacob put, I'd like to say that this place does NOT stink of dog urine or marijuana. I've not run into any of those issues. The apartment comes with a parking garage so I don't know why he's saying that he had to pay "hundreds of dollars" to park blocks away. I honestly don't know the office staff but they seem nice. I talked to them a couple of times and they've met my needs. The elevator literally works completely fine. "Standing there and repeatedly pushing the buttons so they can work" is absolutely an over-exaggeration 1000%! They work like any other elevator. Plus, we've got stairs to use too. The walls and floors are not paper thin. I've lived in a uni dorm for 4 years to know about paper thin walls. Sure, I can hear foot steps and people moving things here and there but it's not obnoxious. Yes, the trains are loud but they don't shake the whole building XD At least not in my experience. Honestly, I sleep with a fan on every night to help me sleep and I never hear any trains in the middle of the night. Occasionally, here and there I may hear a train or two in the middle of the night when I'm already awake but it's not crazy loud enough to disturb anyone during their sleep UNLESS you chose to sleep with your windows open, which I do not recommend. All in all, these place is very nice. Like any apartment you WILL run into some issues here and there. For us, we had a kid that kept pounding on our door and ran every night but once I told the staff about it, it stopped. Every apartment will come with their cons but honestly, we have not run into any super annoying issues while living here. It's a very nice place to live! 5 stars...
Read moreAnother greedy Apartment Corporation. I was a tenant for 12 months, with 15 month contract. I moved at 12 months, after buying my home, with an understanding, from the front office(Emma) that I will keep paying my apartment until my lease was up. Upon my move-out, I was then notified by the front desk that they can no longer communicate with me, even though I continue paying my rent at my empty apartment, that they sent account to a collections agency. I was not, nor ever was, told that my account will go to a debt/collections agency with my 2 months of communicating with the front desk about my anticipated move out. So now having to deal with a debt collector, spending an extra $5,000+, and affecting, now, my credit due to this unethical management. Oh! And they started renting my apartment again, because upon my moving out “we wouldn’t charge you rent and have someone move in and charge them, they will just simply take over your remaining months” but guess what?!Now I’m being charged for that remaining months, while they charge another unfortunate individual who moved into this decrepit building. Don’t walk away from this place, RUN.
All they care about is paying your rent. I moved in when the front desk actually cared about tenants(Elizabeth was fantastic) but I was originally going to find a new apartment due to the decline in building customer service. With tenants leaving their dog poop, cigarettes butts, multiple garage break in(with cars getting broken into) then stating “can’t release security footage”. , and multiple trash in and outside of the building. I would honestly seek better places to call home than this place.
The only people who are actually ethical and professionals are the Maintenance team and Rebecca.
Update: The Verge Management team as reached out to me and rectified...
Read moreI am disappointed to be writing this review because while living here, we had a reasonable living experience. But the way things wrapped up upon move-out in September was completely unexpected. This definitely soured our experience. We understood that we’d forfeit a portion of our deposit upon leaving. But we did not expect that management would replace the carpet in one bedroom and charge us when our dog barely ever spent time on it. At most, a thorough carpet cleaning and removal of pet fur would have been sufficient. Instead, we got slapped with a $770 carpet replacement bill. What is the point of a monthly pet fee if you’re going to charge your residents for an unjustified service? We should’ve taken photos before leaving to properly dispute this in small claims court. Future residents with pets, take note. Take pictures of everything.
Pros: Newer building In-house pet washing area Parking available inside the building (at cost) Hosted events by building staff Mail room and lockers for packages, never lost a package
Cons Lots of train noise due to being walking distance from train station Trash chute often required servicing Hallways on our floor smelled of cigarette smoke/marijuana despite management policy of no smoking Hefty move out fees Expensive to live here, rent is unreasonably high (this was a short-term convenient option due to work commute, not a long-term option for us) No dedicated pet relief area Frequent police presence inside and outside the building, likely due domestic violence/area crime No air conditioning provided, must install own portable AC with hose to existing infrastructure
Edit: No one from the office...
