I was a vendor at the Odd & Unusual show and was so amazed with this venue! Everything was CLEAN, even the bathrooms were spotless and stocked all weekend which was nice because a lot of times bathrooms get messy quickly with SO many people. Event staff was friendly and super helpful, it was easy and affordable to rent tables and they had several size options. Parking was ample and easy. Could not recommend this venue enough, it was so great!

I have attended many events here.. from training seminars to expos, to the circus and concerts. I’ve also been involved in holding events here as well. Very clean facility. The staff is very helpful and accommodating. Facility offers many options and opportunities. Parking is plenty and free for attendees. If I could make one recommendation for the facility it would be to add changing stations to the men’s bathrooms.

As a vendor at the Odd & Unusual event put on by Hillbilly Furniture and Furs and Old Soul Collective- the civic center couldn’t have been a better place to have a booth. Set up was so convenient with tables available to use, easy access to the event space, great parking, literally everything was laid out perfectly. Thank you guys!

The actual show itself was AMAZING. The Marshall Tucker Band put on an excellent show. The venue was the problem. I purchased two front row tickets by the seating chart that Ticketmaster provided also knowing how the civic center is set up by going to events here for years. They completely changed the configuration and in doing so the "front row" seats we had were actually 2nd row WAY off to the left side of the stage. Terrible sight line. Speakers blocking the view and we had to turn our chairs (that were attached to each other) sideways. If that were not enough. They had the AC turned up so high that my husband had goosebumps during the entire show. There were a lot of people complaining about the temperature being too cold. I asked the woman that was in charge and she laughed and said there was no way she was doing anything about the temperature and offered my husband and I bleacher chair seating in the back of the room which we actually took because we could see better than we could of with our "not so...

You would think the CAPITOL OF MAINE would want to host concerts, draw people in from other towns. But rarely is there anything except for a basketball tournament. The Civic Center could be a GEM. Each month hosting a concert with vendors of all types even on the outside, selling crafts and food. Inside the concert would be happening. Augusta needs to start thinking about how to draw people IN, having concerts each month also means restaurants getting more business, gas stations, stores, people will want to stay and see the Capitol. Right now our Capital is just another little town that people leave to attend concerts and nicer restaurants in Portland. Why? We have the Civic Center right here, make it a gem so Augusta can become the place families come for...

It suggested to add a photo, unfortunately, I could not get pictures of the last 3 minutes of the State BB championship game. People in front of us just stood there, there was no doubt that our team was going to win the game. I'm all for being excited for your team but keep in mind others are just as excited to see the game. They have paid for the right to watch the game as much as you have. People have traveled far to see the games or any other event. So please be respectful & keep your surroundings in mind. As for Civic Center, lost a star, but would gain it back plus 1 more, if they would be more proactive & maybe announced before each game & half-time "To please remain seated so all can enjoy the game...
