Updated: 11/18/24. The coffee cakes are still the best, try them, yum! <3 This is the only buffet restaurant here in Augusta so choices are limited. But, a few years back this place was horrible, food was stale, place looked bad, service was bad. But here and now the past year or so the place has turned into one of my favorite places to eat. The food is always fresh or at least if you come as soon as they open. It seems to be always busy here now, they take debit/credit or cash. There wheelchair friendly. It's a pretty big building so plenty of seating. There is tons of parking spots available. The woman who usually seats us is the owner with her husband and she is always smiling and sweet. The staff is usually really nice, never rude, at least not our experiences. It's your normal everyday chinese buffet so prices are what you expect but tons of food choices so no complaints. Your soda cup is never empty, they are always very prompt refilling your soda or water, if it's half full they ask if you want more. I definitely recommend dessert, have the coffee cakes. Little pieces that melt in your mouth, absolutely delicious. Overall, 4 stars! <3

We arrived at 5:30 on a Thursday evening a party of two, and we’re seated promptly. The place is very large and appeared to be very clean. It was the beginning of dinner, so there weren’t many people there but we didn’t notice that they were constantly bringing out fresh food. Everything we tried was good, it’s not overly seasoned or spicy. Some people would consider bland, but I think what they’re trying to really do is appeal to everyone. The lady that waited on us was very nice and the gentleman that set us was very welcoming. Two people for dinner Monday through Saturday runs you about $38 and change before the tip. When do you think that other places you can’t really get dinner for that in the Augusta area? It’s not really that much. We both are full and happy although we both wished that they had better selections of sushi. Bathrooms were clean and they were very prompt about taking your dirty/empty plates. I think this is basically a local place that is trying to please Everyone with a Buffet during post Covid times. Not many buffets left around. A solid 3.5 stars out of five.

$17.50 per adult and $12.50 for kids. My 2 year old ate for free. Drinks are about $2 each. The food here is good for a buffet, but lacks any deep flavors. They have a great selection of Chinese and Mongolian foods, as well as deserts such as pudding and ice creams to name a few. The buffet is silent, no music or any background noise. Anything you say will be heard on the other side of the place. Generally clean in all areas including the bathroom. It’s a good place to introduce your kids to different foods, decent staff that will stay close by in the event your drink goes dry or you need anything. Overall, unless the prices come down l, I don’t see myself bringing the family back. $80 for 2 adults and 3 kids(1 of which are for free). I can feed the family for less and get better quality food at other locations. The perk of this place is the speed of service, if you are in a hurry to get food and don’t care about price, this may be your place.

The staff are the biggest jokes. I usually am not bothered by poor service and the need to write a poor review doesnt interest me but this place is ridiculous. We've been here multiple times. Each time the server ALWAYS complains about the tip (we leave 20% or more at that) and asks for more. The last straw for us: I have a 3 year old son. He's tall and super mature for his age. He often is mistaken for a 5 year old. Regardless, he's 3. On the bottom of the receipt always says 3 and under eat free, and that has always been the case and have never had a problem. This time we were brought the check and noticed we were charged for a child meal. No biggie, we'll just mention it to the waitress, right? Wrong, when I told her he's 3 she wouldn't take my word. Asked my son multiple times how old he was but her English isn't great so of course he couldn't understand her. Finally he said his age and she yelled "nope" and ran to the front desk. At this time I (tried to) take my tired infant and my 3 year old to the car while my husband finished up with the bill. The lady ran back at me from where she was at the front desk and yelled stop. I understand maybe she thought I was leaving without paying so I explained 3 times and pointed that my husband is still at the table waiting to pay. Strangly all of a sudden she knows no English. Even other customers were chiming in telling her my husband is waiting at the table to pay. She proceeds to block my toddler who was walking in front of me. He said "scuse me" like an innocent 3 year old and she blocked him again and put her hand in his chest. Up to this point I've been very kind and respectful but I now had to raise my voice and say "don't not touch my children or block them, I will say it one more time, my husband is at the table waiting to pay" and I proceed to the car. She doesn't bring the check to my husband for another 10 minutes and at the bottom crossed out in pen where it had said "3 and under eat free" was no hand written in "ages 2-5 = 12.75$" He paid and left but will never go back to give business to those money...

I took my bf out to lunch today for a date at great wall buffet . Before i begin i like to say this got deleted once already, because they don't want people knowing how inconsiderate their staff is . As we got one plate an older couple sat next to us. Lady had oxygen and in wheelchair. She got 3 bites into her food and she started choking bad!!! Everyone that was around her just sat there ignoring or staring!!!! The old man didn't know what to do. I jumped up being certified CRMA and more and asked to do the hymlic maneuver she shook head yes. By then she was puking and turning blue. I did procedure and then slammed her back forcing upward. It didn't unlodge the piece fully but enough where she could breathe and color turned back to normal. Got her drinking some water and she could talk. The old man and lady was so greatful . By time EMTs were there she was ok. I got praised by them. I went up to pay my meal of 24$ even tho I got my one plate of buffet plate half eaten. Ended up being expensive but that's not the point. The point is as the lady and man left in ambulance because her oxygen levels were low.they made them pay for full price for the buffet too ! I told lady at register w.t.h they literally had 3 bites and choked and your charging them their meal. That is b.s.! Lady like your right and hands him back his money. I never got discounted or free meal either. Again not point but poor poor service for the staff, and business. Did my good deed. Thank God she was ok. If I wasn't there she probably would of died while staff and standbyers ignored because she puked. What has this...

This buffet was the best buffet I've ever been to in the state of maine.Maine.. The food was so tasteful, and very hot. The waitress was just as pleasant too.. never waited for anything.. great wall of Agusta I will see you again!!!!this was the worst food ever!! The food was cold.. mostly cold food!! The waitress was very rude. I asked twice for milk fir me tea. She said wait was minute. While she was cleaning off a few tables. The price for the food wasn't worth it!! $22.00 for mostly cold food. I truly believe this is a health violation. I left there not even 45 minutes later I had to pull off the road because I had explosion diarhea!!!. I will never go back there again. People need to be aware of the food abd how long it's been sitting and cold. I believe 8 minutes is the longest food can sit after it gets cold ,that it needs to be thrown out!!! Great wall you lost 4 people today and will never go there again!!! Refund my money $100 for 2 meals and a take out .plus my tip because the waitress didn't deserve a $ as far as I'm concerned!! Disgusting food!! People take nite of thus. Some foods was hot but only because it was just put out...
