I came to this store for the first time today. It was also my first time using my WIC for certain items. After scanning a few items the young man asks if I'm going to use WIC. I said yes. He said "oh" in a somber tone then He proceeds to yell across the store, "Trisha...I need help with your favorite thing...its wic" in a very condescending manner clearly insinuating that neither of them like to deal with WIC. She comes over with am attitude and asks why he's calling her. He said "cause most of her items aren't covered by WIC" (as if he couldn't say that to Mr directly without her help). She then looks at me like I'm the scum of the universe. I asked what the problem was. She rudely said, "You have to read. There's big blue tags on the cheeses that say WIC. They have to be in 1 pound bags. This bread also isn't included". Now the bread I chose was natures own wheat bread with honey. The covered one is nature's own 100% wheat with honey. That's a simple mistake that anyone could make. None of the breads had the WIC label on them. All of the WIC items arent labeled. As a customer how am I supposed to know what the store meant to label or not. She then leaves. Then he says...dont you have the book they give u? These instant grits aren't covered either. I told him the book does show instant grits to be covered. I bought a sprite. He said...u can't use WIC to buy a sprite. I'm not dumb! I never said ALL my items are wic nor would I think I can use WIC for a sprite. This store clearly discriminates against WIC users and I'll be filing additional complaints. No one should have to go through this. Then I bought 6-64 ounces juices. He put 2 in each bag but only double bagged one. When I got home at least 4 bags broke. They need to be retrained!

Food LionĀ is an AmericanĀ grocery storeĀ chain headquartered inĀ Salisbury, North Carolina,Ā that operates over 1,000Ā supermarketsĀ in 10 states of the Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern United States, employing over 63,000 people. It was founded in 1957 asĀ Food Town. As I walked the rows of food and looked around I obviously noticed that this is like every other Food Lion or basically like every other grocery store for that matter. It was well stocked and clean but, that's what you expect in a grocery store. The staff was taking proper care to follow COVID-19 guidance and they were friendly and courteous. They were helping customers with questions and seemed to be very helpful and pleasant especially with the elderly customers that were in the store. I find this heart warming especially today how people are treated anymore. As you shop, look for their Local Goodness signs and tags to find the best products grown and made right here in the state. The Food Lion home page claims that they offer a wide selection of local products from sauces and snacks to meat, seasonal produce and everything in between sourced right here and the surrounding States. I like supporting local whenever possible so anytime a store buys local I think that is fantastic to provide that to the community they service. So, if you like Food Lion or are looking for a different grocery store this location is a good one. I was in the area and figured why make a separate trip later and it worked out great. Oh and be sure to sign up for the MVP savings card it's quick and easy and I saved 20 bucks today just using the card! So that's a plus because I like saving money!!

My experience while shopping at Food Lion was overall very pleasant. The staff on duty were very helpful and courteous. The store itself was clean and organized. The exterior of the store (referring to the parking lot) was a bit trashy. It could use a good sweep. Reasonable pricing on groceries. The produce department had some mold on almost all the strawberries that was out on the shelves. I would recommend that the produce department start to keep a better view on things like that.

This was my first time shopping at this location , since moving from the westside , to the southside of Augusta . I walked right in , and right out ! I found everything I was looking for ! The Nashville hot šŸ”„šŸ„µ chicken tenders , in the Deli were amazing ! I bought the largest head of red leaf šŸ”“ 🌿 lettuce 🄬 that I've ever in bought before , and it lent itself to an incredible Nashville hot šŸ”„ 🄵 chicken tender salad šŸ„— , with Marie's Bleu Cheese dressing , Lactaid lactose free cottage cheese , a tomato šŸ… slice , and mozzarella cheese šŸ§€ squares , with a glass of Lactaid lactose free 2% milk , since my Nashville hot šŸ”„šŸ„µ chicken tenders were on the spicy side ?!! I even got 50Ā¢ off on the spot , from a peel-off coupon ! My cashier was new , being trained , and friendly ! I thoroughly enjoyed my experience , at this location , being that this was my first time at this location šŸ™‚ ! Thank you so much for a pleasant experience , Peach Orchard Rd...
