My daughter went in to join Planet Fitness in November 2014 the open enrollment to join the gym. My daughter and a representative from Planet Fitness called me on the phone to join the gym and I said that I could not leave my job to come in. My daughter gave them my account information; however the representative for the gym said they could not go any further with the process until I come in and signed the account authorization form. My daughter did not receive a gym membership that day and has never received one. She did not receive a club ID, a t-shirt or anything period. My daughter never went back and I never went in to sign paperwork to give them authorization to pull money from my account. In March 2015 Planet Fitness pulled money out of my account (over $20.00). I called to speak with the manager; however, he/she was not available. I left my name, number and concern with the person that answered the phone. I did not receive a call. In April 2015 another $21.66 was pulled from my account. I called and spoke with a representative about my concerns, she looked at the papwork and told me that i should not have been charged because I did not signed the authorization. The young lady then put the manager on the phone and she said that I gave my daugther authorization and that I could not get my money back. She was rude and nasty. she callled me again and said that my daughter signed a contract and that i had to pay $58 to get out of the contract. I hung up and called back. I told her that she taking my money without my authorization was against the law. She called me back and stated that she would waived the fee but we cannot get the money she pulled out of my account back. I am going to take this another step further because of her nasty attitude. It stinks! If she did this to me I know that she did it to other people. The manager said my daugther had to come in and sign a form opting out of the contract. She did not apologize or anything she sent someone else to speak with her. The presentative put on the form that the billing was not authorized. I am do an Action Law Suite if my funds are not returned to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSo I've had memberships at the family Y (Tobacco Road) and Gold's gym (wheeler Rd and Bobby Jones) and PF (Planet Fitness) is my favorite of them all.
So it's a gym with a fair amount of equipment. The employees greet you when you arrive and when you leave and they let you be during your work out. There are plenty of cardio machines (treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, things I don't know what they're called) and a good amount of precise machines (abs, arms, and legs). There are also free weights, if you know what you're doing.
Off to the sides of the main area are a few open rooms. A couple are for specific minute work outs (I know one is an abs room) with a light on the wall to let you know when to move from one station to the next. There's also an open time ab workout room and next to it is what I call the stretching room. There are mats, balls, and rollers that you can use. There's also some machinery in there and ropes.
At PF, there are two main types of memberships you can have here. There's the black card and the white card. The black card will get you extra perks (like you can bring a friend, use the tanning booths, aqua massage beds, etc) but also costs $20 per month as opposed to the white card, which is $10 per month. Depending on when you sign up, there may or may not be a sign up fee (it was $1 when I got my membership last year [2016]).
The women's area has a locker room (that you provide the lock for) and benches, restrooms, and showers. I do like that there are double shower curtains for each stall (curtain and an area to change or keep clothes, curtain and actual shower).
There is no daycare or children's room located here, so it's no good for children. There are classes offered here, but nothing like...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI just joined this gym last month, because although I love LA Fitness, Iāve recently moved to Loganville, and they donāt have a location in town. So, I got a Black Card Membership (for like $24/month). There are several things I luuhhvv about Planet Fitness: first off is the hours. This place is open 24/5!!! Love it! I can workout in the middle of the night if I want toā¦and sometimes I do!! They have a 30 minute express workout area that reminds me of Curves from back in the day! I can get a full body workout in 30 minutes and be on my way!! Another thing I love that my other gym doesnāt have are some spa amenities! LA Fitness has a sauna, pool, and jacuzzi, but Planet Fitness has massage chairs, hydromassagers, cryomassagers, wellness pods, shake roomsā¦. Itās got some really cool amenities (in the Black Card Spa)! In my opinion, the Black Card membership is WORTH IT! Itās affordable and convenient. My membership allows me access to any location which is helpful when Iām traveling. I love the hours and massagers at this gym. You should join today!! UPDATE 5/22/24: They offer FREE Personal Training!! Can you say WORTH THE COST OF ADMISSION?!? I started training at the Stone Mountain location 2 days ago. Game changer!!! Join today. Your health...
