Waffle House — Restaurant in Augusta

update 1 year later 4/29/20 I've got to contact corporate or something, because even before this covid pandemic, they never answer the phone. Before the pandemic and still now during the pandemic, when calling to place an order, the automated response comes immediately comes on saying call back to place your Togo order because they're helping other customers. Just like any time before and the other week, I just passed by their location to go to starbucks and then I was going to stop in waffle house to place the order. THERE IS 1 CAR IN THE PARKING LOT. This is ALWAYS. I dont understand it.

The lady that waited on has the name "Milkshake" on her name tag. Okay, 1st: I called at 4:57p (today, 4/9/19 Masters week) to place an order. No one answered. The recording said they're not taking phone orders. Got there at 5:04p...7 minutes later, and there were only 2 people there. So why is the line blocked as if they're busy? 2nd: when I walked in and ordered, ""Milkshake"" did not have a pleasant attitude. She was nice at the end of my visit, but totally acted as if she did not feel like taking an order and didnt want to bother with me. And they never ring you up until your food is done, but she did before the lady started cooking. It's just not the norm for Waffle House to do that, that is why I mention it. I rarely go here because they screw up a lot anyway. But i thought all would be well since i KNOW they are never busy on a weekday evening. I hope the owner sees these reviews from people. So I had a bad experience with the cook at this location for NOTHING. I placed a to-go order for my husband and I, each came with a blueberry 🫐 waffle 🧇. Pictured below is what they looked like. So JOKINGLY, I asked my waitress, “What, yall ran outta batter or something? 🤣” While we laughed, the COOK makes the smart remark, “You could have just asked me to remake them 🙄 I made them.” So me being me, I said, “Why would I ask you to do ANYTHING when I placed the order with my waitress? I didn’t want a remake, but since you insisted, you can remake them, thank you!” Like why get in your feelings about MY WAFFLE? I had no plans to double work her, but that MOUTH quickly changed my mind. She had a nasty attitude the rest of the time I was there. Her name tag said “Dunn” as far as I could tell. I am extremely disappointed with my visit to Waffle House on Peach Orchard Road. The entire facility was filthy — dirty floors, nasty tables, and nothing appeared to be wiped down, even behind the counter where they cook. It was honestly unsettling.

The food was brought to our table cold, and to make matters worse, the order was incorrect. As we sat trying to eat our already unappetizing meal, employees were changing trash cans right next to us, which was both unsanitary and unprofessional.

Everything about this experience was unacceptable. From the cleanliness of the restaurant to the quality and accuracy of the food, it was just a nasty visit all around. Waffle House needs to seriously reevaluate the standards at this location. I won’t...
