Suit Factory — Local services in Augusta

My uncle passed away and we wanted to find him a perfect suit for his funeral. We went to several stores before this one and was directed to this store by another store in town. The employee that directed us to this store made a comment that the quality of the suits were not up to par and that kind of made us leery about checking this place out. We are so glad that we went and checked this place out anyway. My uncle was a very tall and slim guy so it was difficult to find him ready-to-wear suits. He also wanted to wear white for his funeral. He had a white suit that he wanted to wear but it was damaged and we weren’t going to lie him to rest in anything like that. He would haunt us until our death for attempting to do something like that. Older people in the South are really serious about how they are put away and go to great lengths to make sure every detail is perfect. My uncle had over 40 suits while he was living and they were every color of the rainbow!!! This store had many options to choose from. They had the perfect white suit that we purchased. They also sell shirts, ties, shoes, and anything else to go along with a suit purchase. We settled a baby blue shirt, tie, and also white shoes to compliment the suit. Everything that we bought was about $300 altogether, which wasn’t bad at all. The other place we went wanted much more for the suit alone and he would just be going in the ground with it. The employee was very helpful and helped us pick out the merchandise we needed. He didn’t understand why we were shopping for someone who wasn’t there and asked us where he was. We had to let him know that he had died that morning. He continuously apologized for even asking the question. It didn’t bother us though because it’s better to ask to make sure. Had to buy my first and probably only suit. I knew exactly what I needed to get to fit any circumstances. The gentleman that helped me knew exactly what I needed and went right to where it would be. I bought an entire fitted suit in under 30 minutes. The pants would have to wait a few days to be hemmed.

Fast forward to the day after. A family emergency came up to where I actually needed this suit. I called to explain and that I needed my suit asap. He decided to hand them the pants and the pants are ready same day.

walked in the store asked the bald Indian dude that work there for help in a nice calm tone he replied with “ why do you want to try on suits your not going to buy anyway” i was like what. He said it in a aggressive tone like tryna be racist basically. i don’t know if i maybe came on a bad day or what but never again. Never had an experience like that with any place. after he said that i still tried to be calm he only let me try on one jacket but the way he said it was like a here dang tone.
