The venue had a nice appeal to the eye with the entrance area and Waiting area with lighted tea candles. I was celebrating my birthday and gave advance nothing in the reservation. The three of us ordered cocktails, and a recommended appetizer. When we were ready to order, y husband suggested, I go first since I was the birthday girl. I ordered the pre fixe . The waiter then informed us that ALL of had to order from the pre fixe. We did. It included another appetizer, small meal, and dessert for $35. One meal had just a small piece of fish and NO sides. The noddle kale dish was bland. The waiter then came out with a sliver of a piece of chocolate cake with a light birthday candle. He just dropped the cake off and said Happy Birthday. The largest end of the cake las about 1/4 of a inch high. Assuming this was just our birthday special treat, we were totally floored when the waiter stated it was part of our price meal and no further dessert was warranted! Such a very disappointing way to end the meal. The food was nothing special and it is obvious it is not ready for prime time like most Chicago established restaurants!
