The burgers my partner and I tried were good, for the price. They aren't terribly expensive and it comes with a side. For how large the portions are and the flavor, it seemed pretty worth it. The staff seemed a little disinterested in up selling certain items or giving recommendations. We felt like we had to interrogate our waitress a little more than we should about the items on the menu. We were able to change tables without a problem though which was very nice of them to accommodate. We originally were sat at a two chair small table, just too small, and we're not big people at all. They also felt a little crammed in the back area. But the half booth spots are very comfortable. Lastly, for a place called ARThouse, the art element seemed a little lacking. The effort doesn't seem very strong or lacking altogether. The prints near and inside the restroom were of cheap quality. The pixels of the image were visible, and had the typical texture of cheap plastic canvases from knock off Amazon brands. It would be more interesting if they had local artist's paintings, photography, whatever else hanging up around the dining area for sale or for show. We will probably come back one more time in a few months to see if anything had changed. It makes me wonder.. how much do they have to pay to rent that prime spot in the middle of downtown? Are they making enough money selling short order burgers? The place was packed but once everyone tried it Im not sure they will come back. There are already a few pub burger kinda...
Read moreMy wife and I along with my mom and Aunt went here for the first time this evening. I’ve been wanting to come for a while and boy was it fantastic. From the moment we entered we were met with fantastic service. From the host, bus boy and server they were on point and so great! They even laughed at my joke which truth be told can be dad joke like. I peaked at the menu and was certain I had an idea as to what I was going to order ahead of time. Today was Tuesday and they had $5 margaritas so you gotta do that. My wife ordered the old fashion, my aunt ordered the twilight tiki. All were amazing. Now to the food. I ordered the Korean fried chicken sandwich. Let me tell you, it was the best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. It was crunchy, spicy, salty, and sour with the kimchi. It was so good, it has to be illegal. The side of onion rings literally almost stole the show. I don’t know how they managed to keep the onion in tact as you bite into it. That’s always been my gripe with most onion rings. Harry Potter has to be the chef. No other explanation. My wife ordered the Steakhouse burger with fries, she can not stop talking about it! The BLT was ordered by my aunt with Onion Rings. My mom ordered the Beet Salad with chicken. Loved it! Needless to say it was one of our best culinary experiences in sometime. You all are killin it here and it’s legit! 2 legit 2 quit! The food, drinks, and service were all amazing. I can not wait...
Read moreWhat a neat new spot in downtown Aurora. This spot just opened in downtown Aurora on Stolp Avenue and decided to have a girls night out to try it. It is restaurant week from Jan 21st to February 4th and they do have a specialty menu for the occasion. Our server was very kind and polite and he checked in on us often. He had good recommendations of the menu which helped. We started our night out with the Bangbang Shrimp and the flavor was very prominent. The sweet chili sauce not only compliments the tempura shrimp but also the Napa cabbage slaw. The best part is the dish is a good size to split between a few people and it does not feel heavy we rated it 9/10. My friend got a "girl dinner" so wine, salad and fries. The fries were great because they were not too salty. For my meal I opted for the restaurant week special fo the French Dip Sandwich. It was priced at $17.00 and you get a good portion with a side - I opted for the Mac + cheese. The mac + cheese in my opinion is phenomenal. Cocktail wise we had the variation of the Twilight Tiki which is great if you want more of a "refresher" type alcoholic beverage, and the Paradise. The Paradise is leaning more towards a not so flashy margarita. To end the night I got vanilla ice cream, and you just can never be mad bout that. I would visit again, the place is local and they have...
